Chapter 10 : It's called food.

Start from the beginning

The single cut on my wrist got him questioning. Out of all the battles he has been through, I was sure no one would have decided to cut themselves. They would cut each other instead of slicing themselves.

"Neither do I know. Perhaps when we get overwhelmed, extremely overwhelmed, we tend to do stupid stuff and hurting ourselves is part of it," I said but he certainly needed more explanation to it. "Let's just say we, mortals are all different. Some are mentally strong but physically weak. Some are the opposite and some are weak and strong in both states. When...a problem comes up and the problem touches them, these people would start blaming themselves for the problem that comes up and when that happens, these cuts tend to appear. Be it the problem was the cause of them or someone else. It is a part of this illness called Depression. It may sound new to you but this is something far too common that is happening to most people. Especially teenagers. Some of them had died from it too."

"Is this illness contagious? Do you have it too?"

"Someone is concerned," I teased, smirking.

"I-I am concerned. I am just worried whether it'll affect me."

I smiled, "It's not contagious but I had it before. Then, I got better after some treatments. Thanks to Tony, I am here now. Not homeless. And credits to the Avengers. They helped me through a lot. "

He nodded as he secured the bandage with a pin. He most probably had nothing to say. The fact that he almost killed Tony and attempted to destroy the world and the Avengers. "You haven't eaten, right?" I asked, breaking up the mood.

"No, I haven't."

"Likewise," I said. "Well, that looks like I need to cook something." I was about to stand up when Loki stopped me.

"But your arm is wounded."

"Well, then who is going to if it's not me? Do you know how to cook?"

"Maybe?" He stood up. My eyes drifted up to him just as he stood up and I felt like I was looking up on a tall statue. "If I can wield the sceptre, this mustn't be a problem. There isn't anything that I can't do." He said as he walked towards the kitchen.

"I can list it all down if you'd like," I said, turning over to look at him.

He ignored me and proceeded to do a bunch of experiments in the kitchen. I watched him through and he barely knew how to do anything. Various questions like, "How do you turn this on?" , "What is the use of this?" , "Do you not have any utensils? Like a flipper? Ah yes, A spatula."

The moment he switched on the stove, everything just went hectic. The fire went up and he backed off from it, screaming. I shot up and ran towards the open fire that Loki had caused. I took out the fire extinguisher from the corner and spray it out on my stove. Within less than a minute, the whole stove is filled with the white bicarbonate. Some even got on to my shirt but Loki had it worse. It looked like he dumped the whole of it on himself.

He blew out the ones on his lips as he wiped off the ones on his eyes. I held in my laughter as I watched him brush it off. That was only until he said, "This...Is...Madness."

I burst out laughing, choking on my saliva. "Do you think this is funny?" He snapped. I could care less and continued laughing. He started laughing and increased the whole laughing session. "It is. It is funny. You caused it. You almost burned down my house."

"I deserved that," he said as he continued laughing our ass off. After it died down, I told him to get changed as I ordered some food because none of us could cook since the stove is now destroyed.
