"I missed you. Why did you come after so long?" She scolded, gently shuffling his hair.
"I'm sorry. I'll come more often, promise!"
"You said it last time as well." She complained.
V just gave a small laugh, helping her sit down and showed her the bag.
"I brought bread and milk as an apology. I know you run out of it every Thursday and then forget to buy it." He smiled cheekily.
"Thank you, you cute little boy." She pulled his cheeks making V smile even more.
"Ah.. I also brought my friends!" Tae mentioned excitedly, gesturing towards the three who were standing at the door, staring at the scene with mouths wide open.
How long had it been since they saw this carefree and happy Taehyung?
Wow. I didn't realise how much I missed his smile.
All of them had similar thoughts.
"Oh come on in! What are you doing at the door?" She turned towards Tae.
"You should've said that earlier!" She lightly slapped his arm making V apologies.
They all said their greetings and the grandma cooed at all of them.
Then they all sat down and ate some egg tarts while the lady nagged about how thin they were. She even managed to make Tae eat some of them which made the rest of the present members smile.
They all smiled and laughed but sadly, it was time to leave. V promised to come again soon and bring the rest of his friends as well.
As soon as they left, V was bombarded with questions from the members. He didn't tell them the full details, just that he met her one night when he got lost without a phone and she was kind enough to help him call Sejin.
Despite the good start of the day, they were back to heavy schedules with photo shoots and also their MV shooting.
Jimin, Jungkook and Hoseok immediately noticed the change in V's behaviour as soon as they came back to their original life. He was back to being the quiet and emotionless Tae they had been accustomed to for the past two/three months.
Sejin informed Tae that he'd have to add a few other things in his schedule as well. The drama Hwarang was going to air soon so he was required to attend some photo shoots and interviews related to that as well.
It made the members worry about Taehyung. They were already too busy to even breath and more work meant health problems.
Taehyung however had other things in his mind. He hadn't heard from his mother since the drunk phone call she made. Not just that, he talked to his siblings who lived in their own college's hostels separately and they hadn't talked with their mother properly since days either.
What is she up to?
It was obvious that she was okay according to his siblings but that was the weird part. The last thing she is supposed to be is okay after getting the news.
Taehyung had expected a lot of things. Anger, hurt, hell even an apology would have been believable.
He wasn't given the time to dwell on that or do any investigation though so it just stayed there at the back of his mind.
The news he heard three days before the comeback made him regret not doing nothing.
It was 6 pm and they were just done with the photo shoot and were given the rest of the day off as well as the next one as an award after the tremendous week of hard work.
"Hyung! Mom... s-she... hyung..." His younger brother tried to speak with all the crying.
"What? What is it? Tell me!" V freaked out.
"She attempted suicide." Taehyung widened his eyes.
"What the fu** are you saying?!" He yelled at his phone, making Jeong Gyu cry even more.
Jimin who was in his room rushed in hearing Tae shout and curse at someone, only to find him on the phone.
"I-I don't k-know. We came home to surprise her b-but she wouldn't w-wake up. I'm so scared, hyung. What's going to happen?"
"Nothing. Calm down, okay? It's going to be okay.." He whispered, ignoring Jimin who was staring at him with eyes full of questions.
After a couple of minutes, he hung up, promising that he'll be there as soon as he can.
"What's wrong?" Jimin came forward, seeing Tae devastated and breathing heavily. He just shook his head, trying to breath normally which seemed to be pretty hard at the moment.
Panic attack.
Jimin rushes forward, hugging the younger but that seemed to worsen Tae's condition who rubbed his chest.
Everything was just so confiscating for him and Jimin being too close to him and hugging him didn't help at all.
When Jimin knew he couldn't do anything, he rushed outside to call someone.
"Hyungs?! Hurry up, it's Tae!" He screamed and went back inside, using his words to calm him down.
Everyone rushed inside, hearing Jimin's shouts. They saw the heartbreaking sight. Tae was trying really hard to breath as he punched his chest and clawed a bit. He was rocking back and forth on the floor with tears streaming down his face and all the way down to his throat and in his collar.
No one knew what to do.
Yoongi rushed forward and yelled everyone to shut up.
He sat near Taehyung and stroked his hair.
"Calm down. It's okay. Breath." He whispered as he moved his hand back and forth from his head to neck to his back and then up again.
"Inhale. Exhale. Focus on my voice, my words. You're doing great, taetae."
He kept on repeating the words, helping him calm down. Tae finally took another long breath and exhaled it out.
"Okay?"
"Yeah." He nodded a bit. Jin brought a glass forward and Tae drank a bit before lightly pushing it away from his face.
"Sorry for that." He said, looking down at the floor. Suga hugged him gently, keeping in mind the earlier events.
"Don't worry. It's nothing."
