{Keith x Reader}; Two Keiths and A Voltron Show

Start from the beginning

"Ladies and Gentlealiens, bare witness as the Paladins of Voltron attack Zarkon's base to save the helpless Princess Allura!~" Coran spoke dramatically, before stepping off stage and shoving Shiro on eagerly.

Your heart was beating like a mini Africa drum. Even though this was a measly show for (at most) ten audience members, you still wanted to do a good job. This is what these people were living the rest of their lives for, besides sleeping all day and dying slowly.

The stage lights looked blinding, even from the shadowed sidelines, and you felt pity for the team leader who held his arm up, blocking the spotlight from damaging his eyes. He got a whisper-scold from Coran, so he then started reading awkwardly off of his wrist script;

"Uhm, I will save the Princess, even if it means taking on the Galra with my bare.. hand." Shiro spoke, trying to get past the arm thing. The man has one human arm, we get it.

Next came Hunk, and by the looks of how it was going so far, you were in for a short, yet bumpy ride. He looked like a confused teenager who was looking at their cellphone whilst moving. Let's put it this way; that if this was an awareness ad for distracted walking, he would fall down a sewer grate or something soon.

"But you won't have to do it alone, because you have me, Hunk."

"And me, Pidge."

The two spoke in the most monotone of voices, eyes glued to their screens to read off of them as they went along.

The show looked as unprepared and messy as it actually, genuinely was, and the audience seemed unentertained by what they saw before them. Even for people who saw nothing but living assistants, war flashbacks and ceilings all day.

"And me, Lance!~ Holds bayard dashingl- oh-" Lance was actually doing a good job, his words were very convincing and well spoken, until he read his stage direction out loud. He fixed it up pretty well though, striking a dashing pose with his gun as it told him to do, pleasing the crowd.

"A-and me, Keith." You spoke as you walked onto the stage, your face and voice completely terrified and strained, desperately trying to match your lone-wolf teammate's mood. Well, ex-teammate, since he left... you get it. You used to see it in action everyday, heck, you even fell for it romantically, so you had it engrained pretty well in your mind.

Except, your stage fright butchered everything you though you knew.

"Thank you, team, for always being by my side, through thick or thin," Shiro paused awkwardly, realizing he needed to scroll downward for more text, "Now, come along, together we'll all-"

"Defeat Zarkon!" Every Paladin yelled and raised their bayards with false smiles and excitement. Lance was the only one who put effort into his outcome, posing dramatically on his knees and pointing his bayard to the skies. You, on the other hand, were minutes away from crying.

All your effort for that performance, however, was only to be greeted by an unholy sight coming onstage before you;

"My heroes!~" Coran soothed in a high-pitched voice, sliding in on his knees. A long, flowing ivory wig was placed askew on top of his head as he portrayed the Altean Princess. It was terrifying, even from the back, and almost made you break and vomit from the nausea your fright gave you.

Trying to look anywhere but 'Allura', the team looked to the crowd as the overhead lights came back on, only to reveal every single seat completely empty. No trace of anyone's enjoyment or presence was left behind, and the Paladins weren't all that surprised.
