"I can't it's mom, she'll probably cause a scene in front of everyone." I told her before folding the dresses and putting them in my suitcase.
Serenity laughed, "She won't, she will probably scream on the inside. But she won't want to draw attention to you to be the talk of the neighborhood."
"I feel bad, it's your big week and I just don't want all eyes on the daughter who ran away and got pregnant." I sighed into the phone as I sat down on my bed.
"Listen my wedding isn't till the end of the week. By the time everyone knows it will have died down. Everything is going to be okay and if not I'll get you a hotel or something. But I promise because mom is in the spotlight she won't cause a scene. She knows better." Serenity told me trying to comfort my stress.
I closed up my suitcase after checking I had everything, "I just want this to be your best week."
"Yeah and the only way that's happening is if I have my maid of honor here. So please don't flake, cause if you do who knows who mom will have be my maid of honor last minute." She complained.
That made me laugh, "How do we even know the dress is gonna fit?" I asked.
"Well I put on a little belly thing last time I went and made sure to get it a little bit bigger. So when you get here we'll just make altercations." Serenity informed me as if it was obvious.
I laughed, "of course I should have figured."
Just then my doorbell rang I looked at the time and seen it was already 11 pm.
"I have to go, Shawn's here." I told serenity as I looked around and slipped on my comfy slippers.
I looked to make sure I had absolutely everything I needed. Once I did I grabbed my bags and made my way slowly downstairs. With my belly getting bigger I started getting even more careful with the stairs. I seen Grey's Anatomy and when Meredith fell on them.
"Oh yes your fiancé and baby daddy." She teased.
I rolled my eyes, "We're not really engaged and you know that." I said as i made it to the bottom.
Serenity laughed, "Yeah yeah soon y'all will be. But anyways can't wait to see you in six or so hours! This is going to be so fun, can't wait to see the bump. Love you and be safe."
"Bye love you Ren." I said before hanging up and putting the phone in my hoodie's pocket.
I opened the front door to see Shawn. He wore grey sweats and a green CrossFit hoodie. He had a Starbucks cup in one hand and a smile on his face.
"Ready to go?" He asked as he handed me the cup. "It's hot chocolate."
"Thank you." I said as I took it from his hands. "And yes, let me grab my bags."
"I got them." Shawn said as he walked in and grabbed my suitcases.
He then took them out and went to the car. I grabbed my purse and looked around making sure again that I had everything. Once I was sure everything was off and I wasn't leaving anything behind I walked out and locked the door. I walked down the steps and walked over towards Shawn's truck.
He beat me to the door, he opened it up for me and helped me up. Once I was seated he closed the door and jogged over to the other side. He got in and turned on the heater, it was super cold due to it being winter. We then drove away from my house and drove towards the freeway.
"Are you nervous?" Shawn asked.
I looked over at him as I took a sip of the hot chocolate he bought me. I drank the hot rich liquid before speaking.
"More than I probably look." I admitted.
Shawn gave me that smile that could make any girl swoon, "We'll be fine. And if it ever gets too much just tell me and we'll drive back. It's not good for either of your health so just keep her in mind." He tells me.
I nodded, "Yeah I know."
"Have you thought of a name by the way? For your baby?" Shawn asked keeping his eyes on the road but every now and then he'd glance at me.
I looked down at my now more protruding stomach.
"Yeah I do actually." I tell him still looking down at my stomach.
"What is it?" He asked with a laugh.
I looked over at him and smirked, "Guess you'll just have to wait till she's here to know."
"That's evil." He joked.
I shook my head before looking at the very few cars that were out and about at this time. I let out a yawn, I was tired and it didn't help that I took a shower a few hours ago. Water really does make us more tired, you'd think it would be the opposite.
"Get some sleep, I'll wake you up when we are about and hour or two away." Shawn offered.
I smiled at him, "Okay, do you have the gps?" I asked.
He nodded, "You know I graduated med school I'm sure I can work the gps. Now sleep."
I raised my hands in surrender, "Okay, okay jeez. Goodnight Shawn." I yawned again.
"Goodnight Peyton." I heard him say before I felt my eyes grow heavy.

Though even when you sleep, your stress still seems to linger. And well sleep made it worse, cause time would move quick. And I'd be confronting my mother sooner than I had wished.
