Chapter 7: Arrow

"AAAAAHHHH!!!!"

Kaida stayed right there crying while holding her Servamp. "Kaida!!!!!" said someone. She looked up to see her friends.

"Kaida? What's wrong?" asked Hugh. She showed them Crystal and they all gasped. "What the hell?! What is this?!" said Misono.

"Is she still alive?" asked Tetsu. "Yes, I can still see her breathing but it's ragged," said Lily flying around Crystal in his butterfly form. "Thank goodness," said Kaida.

"Who would do something like this?" asked Mahiru terrified. Kaida looked down to Crystal then laughed bitterly. "Your so called friend and partner did this," spat Kaida. "W-what Sakuya did this? No way."

Kaida noticed Kuro and asked about him and Mahiru told her what happened.

"I couldn't save her and now look at her she could possibly die!" Kaida said crying.

A hand was put on Kaida's head. She looked to see Tetsu. "Don't cry," he said. "Tetsu's right. Don't beat yourself up. We still might have a chance. Look what I've found, I came across it on our way here," said Misono holding up a phone.

"A cellphone? Wait. Is that a Belkia charm? Do you think this belongs to one of Tsubaki's subclasses?" asked Mahiru. "I do. And that gives us a direct line of communication with him. We don't have to sit around waiting for his new move-"

*cue weird ringtone*

Misono opened the phone and Kaida finally stood up holding Crystal in her arms. Tsubaki was calling. "Jackpot, were in luck," said Misono. "What's up with the ringtone and wallpaper?"

Misono answered.

"Oh wonderful hello, did you happen to come upon this phone? What a relief. I'm a family member of the person who dropped it. Thanks for picking it up."

'Tsubaki!'

"Higan, don't worry. It looks like someone found it after all."

"Oh thank goodness."

"Well aren't you going to thank them?"

"Well I guess I should."

"Want it back? Then how about we set up a trade. We want the Servamp and Eve too you bastards!"

"Hehe. HaHaHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Not interesting at all. I'm speaking to the Eve of Lust is that right? Don't you think you're asking a bit much? It is just a phone."

"That's not all. We also have one of your subclasses in our possession. I'd call that a pretty good deal. And another thing, we want Greed and Licht back unharmed."

"Misono..."

"You're the one who said he cared. We'll see if he really does want his subclasses safe. It's the only card we-"

"Hehehehe. DON'T YOU HAVE ANYTHING INTERESTING TO SAY?!"

Everyone jumped a bit at this and Kaida snatched the phone from Misono.

"What the?!"

"What did you do to Crystal?!!" she asked.

"Ahh, I'm speaking to Crystal's Eve, Kaida right?"

"Answer the damn question!"

"So hostile. I guess you could say that I made a special arrow for my dearest sister. How is she holding up?"

"You know she's not well! What was on that bow!?"

"Something that will surely make things more interesting. It'll help her too."

"As if! Listen here Tsubaki. If this kills or even sickens my Servamp even just a little bit I will personally find you and kill you myself!!!"

"Oh? I would like to see you try."

"Shut up!!!"

Kaida gave the phone back to Misono and everyone was now kinda scared of their friend that they thought couldn't kill a fly.

"Anyways, we'll plan the trade off and call you back from this phone later."

"I see. Alright fine, we won't hurt them anymore but I think we'll still keep them separated far apart from each other."

"Well I'm going to sleep now. Be a dear and don't call me again until late afternoon alright? Oh. Two more things. Higan says the charm on his phone is handmade, be sure not to break it.

"IS THAT WHAT YOU CARE ABOUT?!"

"Kaida dear~"

Kaida looked over to the phone. "Time is ticking. Let's see if you can make it in time~~"

With that, Tsubaki hung up.

"What does he mean?!" asked Kaida. "I don't know but we need to go back to the Hot Springs to make a plan," said Misono.

We got back to the Hot Springs and was all sitting at the table. Kaida pet her Servamp fur. She still had her eyes closed and was breathing. But it was like she was lifeless.

'Crystal'

"They can't stay separated for very long so we have to act quickly. If the Servamp Of Greed was taken around midnight last night and they haven't been reunited, then we don't have much time to plan. Licht's life is in grave danger," said Misono.

"You mean he can really die at midnight tonight?" asked Mahiru. "What will we do? Should we go invade immediately?" asked Tetsu. "Are you completely clueless? Where would we even invade?" asked Misono. "Then what?" asked Mahiru.

"Shirota. You nor Kaida can not be involved in this rescue mission. You don't know what happened to your Servamp and you have no weapon. And Kaida's Servamp is also down so she has no weapon either and we can't forget about what Tsubaki said about time with Crystal."

Kaida looked up at them.

"We don't have time to look into what happened to Sloth and Hope. Lily and I will do what we can with Tetsu and Hugh by our side. We only have 16 hours but we'll do our best to save those two," said Misono.

Him and Tetsu stood up and left with their Servamps and Lilac. "Let's get a plan together."

Mahiru looked over to Kaida. "I guess it's just you and I," he said. Kaida looked at him then looked back down. "Yeah," she said. Mahiru looked down at Crystal. "What do you think happened to her?"

"Not sure. I don't think it was good though,". Mahiru tried to touch Crystal but a zap hit his hand making him jump. "Whoa!"

"You okay?" Kaida grabbed his hand and looked at it. "Yeah, I'm fine," Mahiru said blushing a bit. "Good," Kaida let go of his hand and Mahiru looked at it. "Weird. It's like only you can touch Crystal or something," said Mahiru.

"Possibly." Kaida stood. "I'll be in my room trying to see if I can find a cure somehow, call me if you need me," she said.

"Ok," Kaida left and Mahiru watched her. "I didn't really know Kaida before all of this but I can tell that she really is down about what happened to Crystal. She must really care for her," Mahiru said aloud.

He then focused his attention back onto the little, black ball that held Kuro.
