Chapter-9: Broken Facade

"Ohhhhhhhhhh" Yugyeom said mockingly

"I think its just meant to be" In-ha teased her making Hei roll her eyes.

"What crawled into your pants this morning?" Bam came and sat next to In-ha

"Apparently Jb did" In-ha said and three of them cracked

"Fuck you guys" Hei said as she got up and left them sitting there laughing.

She went to the library as she didn't have a class until 12 pm. She was annoyed for no damn reason, just his name could cause a mental breakdown and the more she thought about him the better plans she came up with to kill him.

She went to the History section to get some books on Egypt when she accidentally bumped into someone

"I'm sor-" she looked at the person she bumped into and it was none other than Jb
"You again"
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to find peace but since you're here" Hei shrug her shoulders and Jb walked closer to her

"I told you it was meant to be" he whispered in her ear and she stopped dead in her tracks and stared at him wide eyed. Jb had a smirk on lips and Hei was ready to wipe it off his face.

"Now that we're both here, might as well discuss what we're gonna do" she said after talking a deep breath and Jb nodded.

They both discussed whatever topics needed to be covered under the project like normal humans. There was no bickering, no sarcasm, they were discussing it seriously. They discussed and researched some books for an hour or so when they were finally done they took a deep breath.

"Okay so all this is sorted. Let's get these babies issued" Jb said to the books and they both went to the librarian to get the books issued.

To her surprise he was very serious when it came to work as if the nerd in his head took control of the little brat he actually is.

"I'll stop by at 5" Jb said
"I'll pick you up on my way home because I'll get free by 4:30 or so" she said and he nodded.

"See ya" he said and walked away.

Hei noticed him as he was walking away, like literally noticed him for the first time
Damn those shoulder son
she though to herself, gawking at his broad shoulders and lean body.

She watched him until he was out of sight.

"This place is nice" Jb said as he stepped inside the apartment

"I know" she said proudly

Jb quietly followed her to the table
"I thought we'll be studying in your room" the brat was back in the game

Hei rolled her eyes and opened her book "Let's decide the topics first"

"You're no fun" he placed his hands on the table casually and listened to Hei. He looked at her face, then her lips and then his eyes travelled to her neck and then back at her face.

He zoned out for a moment but was brought back with Hei's loud voice
"Jb! Baka" she pushed him a little but it was enough to make him fall... Almost

"Are you trying to kill me?" he said while placing his hand dramatically on his chest and looking at her with wide teasing eyes

"You're here to study not get lost in your 'Jb Land' " she said while moving the book towards him with an annoyed expression plastered on her face

"You've to do this" she pointed at the page when the front door opened

Both Jb and Hei looked at a tired Mark entering the door.
