"Yeah, I haven't spoken to Peter since yesterday," Andi informed her friend with a frown on her face.
"Why's that?" Michelle seemed to be genuinely curious about the situation, but then again, she was curious about everything, including Peter. It was clear he was hiding something, and it was clear Andi and Ned knew what it was, and Michelle wanted to know what exactly it was. She wouldn't press for answers, however. The brunette had her own ways to figure out exactly what she wanted to know.
"Just haven't been in the mood to deal with him, I guess you could say," Andi muttered and turned over, grabbing her phone from beneath her pillow. "He's been making some dumb ass decisions lately, and part of me knows I need to do what I can to keep him from getting hurt, but the other part of me can't stand to watch him get hurt."
Michelle looked at Andi with thoughtful brown eyes. She was thinking about what she could do to help Andi, and Andi could sense that. She just wasn't sure she'd be able to. "I think you should talk to him about it," Michelle suggested.
Andi groaned and sat up, throwing her phone back onto the mattress. "I don't know how to without him assuming I'm doing everything else but trying to help him."
"Dude, that kid is head over heels in love with you," Michelle reminded her. "In his eyes, you can probably do no wrong, especially when it comes to him."
"He's not in love with me." Andi snorted and shook her head as if to rid the thought from her head. She was in denial to say the least, but that was how she protected herself.
"I've seen the way you two interact with each other," Michelle replied. "It's impossible to miss the way you two feel about each other. He might like Liz, but he loves you, and there's nothing either of you could do or say to change my mind."
Andi didn't respond. She only bit her lip and ran a hand through her hair. Her relationship with Peter was the last thing she wanted to think about, at least at the moment. There was way too much going on for her to focus on something as complex as how she felt about Peter. If anything, she would continue trying to convince herself she felt nothing for him, but she wasn't aware just how incredibly difficult that would be for her.
A knock on the door interrupted the two girls. Andi rolled over and grabbed her phone again, while Michelle ran over to open the door.
"Hey guys!"
Andi looked over at the sound of Liz's voice, her brow raised. She wondered what the overly-excited brunette was doing at their door, especially in her swimsuit.
"What's up, Liz?" This time Andi got out of bed to greet Liz. "What brings you to our neck of the woods?"
Liz smiled at the two girls and walked into the room. "I was wondering if you two would wanna go swimming with me and the rest of the team."
Michelle and Andi exchanged glances with each other. Being around people wasn't exactly their cup of tea, especially Andi's, but for once, hanging out with someone other than Peter and Ned seemed like a fantastic idea. The only person she didn't really care to be around was Flash, but as she'd proven once before, she was more than capable of dealing with him if she needed to.
"I think that could be fun," Michelle spoke slowly. It was almost as if she was unsure of her own words, but Andi understood why.
