Constance thought she could finally stop looking over her shoulder. She has a steady job as a hairstylist, rents a small apartment next door to her best friend, and keeps a routine that distracts her just enough to not have to dwell on her past.

He nods. "Underground chatter has revealed that this Scissors guy has been sent after you disappeared but we can't find any intelligence on him. If you know something. . ."
"Hold up." I look between the two fruitloops. "You mean to tell me that Scissors is coming for me?"
"So I've been told."
I can't hold it in any longer. I burst out laughing like a maniac. My gut tightens as I throw my head back and let out all of my stress. A few tears fall in my fit as I gasp for air.
"What's so funny?" DeLeon asks.
"Please shoot me now!" I continue to laugh.
They look at each other like I have lost my freaking mind and maybe I have. If Scissors is coming for me, she would probably kill me accidentally in the process anyways.
"I don't understand."
"Do you have a favorite flower? I'm partial to Tulips myself. Can we go ahead and order some for my funeral? Get some for yours too because if Scissors is coming then we are dead. You." I nod to Handle, "are going to die and you" I look at DeLeon, "are going to die and I am going to die. It will be one big death-fest." I continue to laugh like a crazy person.
"Who is Scissors?" Handle asks a little shaky.
I pause and think about his question. Scissors isn't a regular girl. She is clumsy and nutty but there is more to her than that. She is kind but mean. Tamed but wild. She is both hellfire and holy water. Who is Scissors? Damned if I know.
"Scissors is unpredictable and unstoppable. You won't see it coming and you won't be able to save yourself. I can't even save myself and I'm the one who enlisted Scissors' help in the first place."
Handle gulps. "What if we let you go?"
"No. I'm not going to cower under some unknown nobody just because he has a stupid name. Rubio stays and dies. We will deal with the other guy later." DeLeon stands and starts to walk out.
"I hope you have a good last meal, DeLeon." I call after his retreating form.
Handle looks at me for a moment longer. His betrayal hurt the most but I didn't let myself feel it until now. Not too long ago I was releasing him from a situation similar to this and now, if Constance doesn't get here in time to kill me first, he will be the one to end me.
"Is he really that bad?"
I shake my head. "You have no idea what you have gotten yourself into. If Scissors didn't want you to know about his existence, you wouldn't. You are a pawn in the game and you can't even see the board."
His eyebrows wrinkle but he stands to leave anyways. I continue to laugh out of pure lunacy. I'm going to die and the girl I love is coming to save me only to possibly kill me on accident.
The door slams shut and I'm left with Nacho to keep me company. It could be worse, he could still be alive. Too bad he doesn't get-
"Tulips!" I yell to Handle knowing he can still hear me. "Don't forget my Tulips!"

Well Luca may have lost his mind already but he does have a point. Given her record, he has a higher chance of getting more hurt than saved by Constance.
