Chapter 28

Jungkook came back.

"Are you sure you can sleep here alone? There are some broken windows as well."

"Oh! Wait! I just remembered something!"

Jungkook became nervous but you had no idea why.

"What did you remember?"

"In the car."

"Wha-- what?"

"I--"

"Did you hear somethi--"

"I left my headphones in your car! But, wait. Was I supposed to hear something?"

"No, I mean, I'll get them for you."

Jungkook left to get your earphones. Meanwhile, you started cleaning the mess that was created. After a bit, Jungkook came back in with your earphones.

"One last question," Jungkook said.

"What is it?"

Jungkook still had your headphones.

"Do you want me?"

"Wha-- what?!"

"I said do you want me to stay? You have broken locks and windows. How can I leave you?"

"But it's messy and there is no room for you to sleep."

"I can sleep there," Jungkook said pointing at a sofa.

"But that will be uncomfortable."

"Do you want me to sleep with you?"

"What?!" Your eyes widened.

"I asked if you have a spare room for me to sleep in."

'Why am I hearing all the wrong things?'

"I have one upstairs next to my bedroom."

"Should I stay with you tonight? Should I sleep there? Y/n?"

"Huh? Yes you can. I mean, yes."

"Are you okay?"

"Yes. I mean, it's been a long day and I just saw someone get shot three feet away from me. I should probably sleep."

Before letting Jungkook say anything, you ran swiftly to your room.

"Why is he like that?!" You yelled at yourself. "Nothing's changed in his appearance. He is still handsome. I can fight this! Why am I acting like this?! Sure, we had a past relationship, but that happened long ago. Why am I feeling this way? Maybe I'm just tired. Yes, that's it. I hope."

[Next Day]

You woke up and got ready to take a bath. After bathing, your chose an outfit for the day. You made your way downstairs. As you did, you heard a noise. You rushed and found the boys making fun of the sleeping Jungkook.

"Ah! I'll post this one," Jimin said.

"Oh, Y/n?" Taehyung called out. It isn't awkward between you two so that was good. You did tease him though.

"So you're not going to introduce me to the girl you replaced me with?"

"Oh god!" RM said.

"Roasted Taehyung," Suga said.

They all started making comments.

"Salty about it?" Taehyung asked you. You all didn't realise Jungkook had just woken up.

"No. I'm just waiting for you to introduce me to the girl you replaced me with. I mean, you left me hanging."

"You blocked me. You know that right?"

"I save your life. You know that right?"

"Excuse me? We all did," Jin commented.

Everyone bursted into laughter. You looked at Jungkook to see that he was finally awake.

"Jin. I thought you were cooking?" Suga asked.

"How can I cook? This place is a mess," Jin replied.

"Uh, I can hear you," you told him.

"It was meant for you to hear," Jin retorted. You rolled your eyes at his statement.

1:00 pm

RM said, "I need to go now."

"Same," said Yoongi.

"I still have dance classes to attend. Thanks for the food Jin!" Jhope squeaked.

One by one, they boys left except you and JK.

"You can leave too. I'll clean this up."

"I'll help since my brothers ate here."

"No, I mean, I am used to cleaning up their messes."

"Do you really want me to go?"

"What?"

"I asked if you can really clean all of this by yourself. I think you need an ear checkup. Maybe the loud sound of the gun affected your ears."

"Yah! It's just that I didn't hear you clearly."

You and Jungkook cleaned the table. After you finished, you were going to claim the dishes, but he got to them first.

In his sweet, deep voice, he asked, "What is it?"

"Well, I was going to was the dishes but you started first. I'll just clean the rest of the house.

You and Jungkook cleaned. You arranged things and organized some stuff. After and hour of cleaning, both you and Jungkook became tired.

"You should go, get some rest."

"Did you miss me?"

"What?"

"Did you miss me?"

Before you could answer, he stood up.

"I guess not. Well, I'll go now. Thank you for letting me stay. You should rest more too. Oh, and I fixed the locks and windows."

He left.

"But I did miss you."
