She didn't want to fix it, yes I know I said I didn't want her in my life. Let alone my daughters, but Shawn thought me one thing. You fight for those you love, no matter how bad you messed things up. You don't let them go, you fight. My mother just wasn't the type to fight for anyone but herself.
"Don't worry I was emotional like this the day of my wedding. Remember I sobbed on the toilet for a good hour." Serenity told me as she handed me a tissue.
I let out a laugh, "How could I forget? You even had someone go buy donuts."
"I was hungry." She laughed.
"Oh good I missed the tears." Madison said as she walked through the door.
She walked over with a box of donuts, yup Serenity requested donuts again. Even though it wasn't her wedding, but I didn't object them. Weddings were stressful and knowing we still had a while till we ate made us hungry.
"Can't believe my little sister is getting married two years after me. That's crazy." Serenity sighed before she bit into the donut.
I finished chewing the piece I bit, "Why is that so crazy to believe?"
"It's not crazy to believe, it's just crazy cause we are two years apart in age. So to know it took two years after my wedding for you to have yours. It's crazy." She explained.
I nodded my head, "I never thought about that."
"You know it's never too late to pack up the donuts and leave. Even though I love shawn." Madison told me.
"I'm not planning on leaving, I've waited almost a year already. I'm ready to marry him." I told them with a sigh as I finished my donut.
"God you're so in love with him it's making me sick." Madison complained with a mouthful of dough.
I smiled and nodded, "I am."
"Okay it makes me sick but I love y'all and I'm really happy you're happy." Madison told me.
"Thank you." I told her as I hugged her.
Serenity stood up and wiped her hands, "Okay no more mushy stuff, we are saving that for speeches. We need to finish your hair and then get you into your dress!" She said all too excited.
We all finished eating the donuts and did just that. They straightened my hair as we talked about childhood stories. I'm surprised we haven't flooded this room with our tears. But the truth was, we didn't cry. I liked it, the no crying thing cause the minute one of them cries I will cry.
"Okay this dress is so pretty." Madison said as she grabbed my dress out of the closet.
"I know, I didn't want something extravagant or expensive. But when I seen it and put it on I loved it." I told her as I stood up.
The girls helped me into my dress. I held my hair to one side of my shoulder as they zipped up the dress. As Serenity zipped my dress up, towards the top the dress began to cling to my body. It fit just like how it did the day I tried it on, thank goodness. But there was one thing odd about it, my boobs hurt. A lot.
"Ow my bra is digging into my boobs." I complained feeling extremely uncomfortable.
"Maybe you shouldn't wear one?" Serenity asked as we looked in the mirror.
