30 Days Ultimatum(COMPLETED)[?]

Chapter twenty-five- You're like my personal star.

"When he kisses you on your forehead, he respects you. He won't force you to do what you don't want to do, and will always respect your decision. When you see a person that treats you like that, I want you to marry such a person." Mom smothered my hair as she looked at me with obvious affection.

"Why mom?" I let my eight-year-old self-curiosity get the better of me.
"He's going to treat you like a queen. Only you will matter to him. He's going to treat you like the way your dad treats me. Promise you'll marry such a person." Mom held out her pinky to make the promise.

"I promise but we wouldn't be mushy like you and dad," I said sealing the promise with my own pinky finger.

I didn't know that tears rolled down my eyes until I felt Jason's lips trying to kiss it away.

"Hey hey no crying on your birthday. What's wrong?" He asked with worry lacing his tone.

"I just miss them a lot, but I just have to put on my big girl panties and suck it up." I put my hands on his shoulder as I rested my head on his chest, cause we were still in the sort of straddling position.

"Hey it's okay to cry about it, it'll get better I promise. So are you ready to close those sexy eyes, so you can listen to my amazing birthday speech? Please close your eyes, else I'll die of embarrassment." I just chuckled and did as he had said.

"So when I first met you, I thought you had a feisty personality and it was cool. Pranking each other was my favorite pass time. Even when you come to my office, it just makes work get better. When we had our argument and you waited outside the cold for me, I knew I couldn't find a better friend than you, " Tears rolled down my eyes as I listened to him.
"Come on Mia, no crying. I'm not even done yet."

"Sorry, I'm just an emotional wreck this morning, please go on."

"You've been there for me no matter what. You've made me smile a countless number of times, for you I will go to the ends of the earth even on foot. When I say, my doctor, prescribed my vitamins and it's a vitamin you. I'm not saying it to be cheesy because you're all I need to be healthy. I still think your boyfriend is a fool for cheating on you, but not everyone has good taste. Even after these thirty days, we decide to part ways just know that no matter what I must get a personal v.i.p. wedding card for your wedding. I'm going to come just to tell your husband how lucky he is to find you. I say amen to all your secret prayers, and I wish you all the best in life. Happy birthday Mia." He got off me as soon as he was done.

I can't tell you I didn't cry after his emotional speech. It's so touching that I couldn't help but jump off my bed and hug him so tight.

"Thanks, Jason. I couldn't ask for a better friend." I snuggled my head in his arms.
"Of course you can't, 'cause I am the best." He puffed his chest whilst saying this.

"You and your ego." I shook my head while pulling his cheeks playfully.
"But you love me anyway." He said while smiling.
"I question my sanity every day for that," I said as my lip curled into a smirk.

"That was harsh M&M." His face showing that despite the tough angry facade he was putting right now, he was trying his best not to burst into laughter.
"You don't say," I said with mock horror as a smile played on my lips.

He was about to tickle me when grandpa's call came in.

"You're lucky your grandpa's call came in, else I would've tickled you till you begged me."
I just laughed as he stepped out of the room to give me privacy.

"Hello, my favorite granddaughter." Grandpa's voice sounded so melodious to my ears.
"Only granddaughter grandpa." I laughed while saying this.
"No... You're not my only granddaughter. I have two other granddaughters in Las Vegas."
