11.1- In the Schreave Palace-HP:

Rose was out of breath when she saw that she was in a magnificent palace. It was simply enormous, with the hallways being the spaces under intricate arches that ended in marble pillars on either side. There were windows too, giant tinted panes of glass through which one could see out but not in. It overlooked a garden, a forest, and even stables, Rose could make out in the distance. She realized that as she was admiring the Palace, she had regained her serenity, and looked around for other Tributes. There were none. With a shock, she remembered the Portal giving off a differently tinged colour every time each individual Tribute had walked through. It was a slight change, but still one of great consequences. 'Why the hell...', Rose thought, 'Where are the other Tributes? Oh crap, what if they're in different parts of this palace? I'll just have to be ready for them.' She decided to explore the corridors before she ended up trapped in an unfamiliar place. She walked around a bit, aimlessly at first, and then with a purpose. She saw doors that were ajar, however many were closed. She doubled back a few times when she saw the exquisiteness of the rooms that were visible, ranging from suites to bedrooms much larger than the one in her Hogwarts dormitory. At one point, she caught a glance of a room that had belongings strewn all over the place. A bloodred handkerchief with the letter "S" embroidered in gold on it lay on top of the pile. Rose scoffed then kept walking. The hallway had started to wind down and then abruptly came to a halt in front of a portrait of a royal. She saw that it was not a dead end, but a t-intersection. She decided to turn right. A few turns later, she found another room in a mess. "That's... Odd.", Rose thought to herself. Then she saw the same red handkerchief as before. She gasped at her stupidity, and realized the corridors were built as if it were a maze. She kept on walking, then reached the portrait of the royal. She turned left, this time, and started forth. Finally she found a flight of stairs too, and slid down the banister furtively. She slid past another wing full of rooms, and decided to run past a large room full of chairs and tables dotted around it. Then Rose encountered the Great Hall, only to hear a loud burst of gunfire through the walls around her. There were screams from the other Tributes in the hallways, and Rose ducked in and rolled under a table. She heard it quiet down, and there was no cannon so no one was shot. Rose took the opportunity to bolt for another flight of stairs heading to the subfloor. Rose slowed down when she caught sight of a figure lurking around what seemed like a theatre past the servants' quarters. She risked a peek inside when she got to the door, and saw Sam onstage with a sword in his hands. 'Is... He.. Talking to it??', Rose thought, and then saw Sam stand the sword on the ground facing up. Then, crying out, watched as he fell onto it. Rose muffled a scream, as the cannon shot came, and she turned away, shaking. Unfortunately her scream wasn't muffled enough as the other Tributes came bursting in right after it. The other Tributes stood there, open-mouthed, clearly in shock. Some turned away as Rose did, others had extremely pained expressions on their face, and some, like Julian, wiped some tears away. The reality of the moment hit them hard, in more ways than one. They didn't have that much time to mourn him, however, as the Theatre was suddenly engulfed in flames and the seats started popping off or falling through the floor. It didn't take much to know that a trap must have been sprung, so they ran for the stairs. When they reached, another Portal appeared, and one by one they looked back to where Sam had perished and bowed their heads to him before they stepped through. Rose looked back, and raised her hand in salute before she portalled away.
