◆12◆ He, who burns in the darkness/ She, who shines in the light

"I didn't want to get in the way, but I sensed the intent to kill. That's why..." 

Dabi was not angry at all. "Just eat, Michiyo. I'm not angry at all." He was not angry because he never saw her as a burden. He had seen what Michiyo could do; he doesn't know why she thinks she was weak, but he knew she was definitely not weak when she bravely killed those guards back when they raided the mansion that tortured her very soul. He saw her play the Bone Crushing Game with him with a smile on her face, and the fact she could accept someone like him...that's definitely not weak. And besides, he liked protecting her, he liked being her only hero. "You're a strong woman in her own rights." 

"Dabi..." Hearing him tell her that, it made her feel better than any comforting words. "Haha...hahaha." She thought he would be angry that she distracted him when she jumped out and called his name. She wiped a bit of tears away from her eyes. "I know what to do now." 

Seeing her smile was a good thing to him; he will be deeper into the darkness, but he will be able to see a small glimpse of warm light from her every now and then. 

"Michiyo," 

"Hm?" 

"I'll create it for sure. A world where your incident won't happen to anyone."

"I'm happy if you do that, but I am already happy." 

"Oh?" 

"Because you're here." The simplest form of happiness was simple to her; just being by one another's side was enough for her. 

"I was surprised by one thing though." Dabi suddenly said to her. 

"What's that?" 

"You looked scared for a moment." 

"I was scared that guy's Quirk would kill you." 

"Oh." He thought he scared her. Did she not feel his own intent to kill Shigaraki? "You couldn't sense my killing intent?" 

"Even if you have killing intentions towards me, all I have to do is diamond up and I am safe. Now that I think about it, you're not much of a threat to me, huh?" 

"Don't push me." 

"Hehe~. I love you lots." 

"Don't cute your way out of this."

A few days later, Michiyo continued her life as normal. Her usual routine would be staying indoors before school hours to not raise suspicions from others; going out during after school hours and get to know the city, and do a bit of travelling on her own. She was doing this because if there came a day where she needed to hide from heroes, she will know where to go.

Dabi's usually gone during the day. She had no clue where he will go, but she always believed he will find her no matter what. And Dabi always lived up to his words and always end up meeting her in the middle of the night by climbing through the window to whichever hotel's room she was in. 

'Giran-san sure is mysterious. And here I thought only Dabi was mysterious.' She was holding up the credit card Giran had provided her. When she asked him about the origin of the money, the old man just smirked and said it's best she did not know. 

Michiyo had decided she will help Dabi out in her own way. Shigaraki may see her as a risk to the League, but she couldn't care less about Shigaraki; it's Toga and Dabi that she cared for and she's doing everything in her power to assist them and make their lives easier. And already she thought of something she could do.
