◆17◆ Real me

"Since we have a proper kitchen, no more microwave food...well, we can have some just in case." Michiyo wanted to cook more often because it reminded her of the time when she and Dabi were living with Ichinose. She wanted to relive those memories at the new apartment so she wanted to cook something for Dabi more often and not having to eat out all the time or microwave something. 

The supermarket had a plasma size TV on the wall. The news was broadcasting a news segment right now. Michiyo stood in front of the TV and she focused her eyes on it because it caught her attention. 

"Michiyo?" Dabi wondered why she had stopped walking all of a sudden. She was so happy and hugging his arm and all. He looked at the screen to see the headline.

Dabi doesn't recognize the couple, but Michiyo does. When he looked at her, he saw the surprised 'O' her mouth made slowly become an evil smile. Michiyo was smiling because misfortune had fallen upon her parents. 

"Michiyo?" 

"What a shame, Dabi. I won't be able to play the Bone Crushing Game with you after all." 

"Were they your...?" 

"Serves them right. No matter how much charity they do, they still have to pay the price for what they did to me. Serves them right." She was unfeeling about the death of her parents. She looked even jollier than before. 

--I've spoken to the couple before they boarded the plane. They were talking to me about returning to Japan to hopefully find the daughter they have left behind.-- One of the staff from the airport was being interviewed. --They told me they did something unforgivable and they hope to make rights to the wrongs they have committed. I have no idea what they did, but I can only hope their daughter sees this and find it in herself to forgive them.--

"GET LOST!!!" Michiyo threw an expensive  bottle of wine at the TV, her eyes were full of rage and anger. The people around her stayed away from her as security were called. "How dare you die before I can fucking kill you?! What kind of death is that?! Dying once is not enough for you bastards!" Have you ever been so angry that you have acted out of character? So blinded by rage that you no longer recognize yourself?

Michiyo started to cry because she felt betrayed. Even if they were to die a million times, or tortured by her very hands, nothing could be enough. She wanted to kill them! She wanted to kill them...!

She felt someone touch the back of her neck, she could feel heat. "Huh...?" 

"You're making everyone stare. We'll go to another market. Come on, securities are coming." Dabi lead her away from the crowd and away from everyone who saw her as a crazy girl who couldn't control herself. Walking through the crowd, he could see people were trying so hard not to stare, some were snickering, and some were saying Michiyo must have snapped from the pressure of studying for good grades. None of them could understand her like he could. And he thought it was okay for him to be the only one who could understand...

Dabi didn't mind that at all; just like he's the only one who could understand her, she's the only one who could understand him.
