Part 14

"Yes,  now if you would please continue?"  You reply smiling 

"I'm sorry but I can't,  I have to get to bed, leaving early tomorrow for Pheonix Drop,"  He says getting up, he holds out his hand for you to take.  You grab his hand and he pulls you up off the ground.  

"Laurence I'm still confused..."  You laugh and he smiles at you

"You mean that didn't help?"  He chuckles 

"hahaha very funny,"  You say pulling your hair back into a Pony Tail.

"You'll figure it out,  just think about what's right,"  He says giving you a kiss on the cheek. "By the way, I have a question,"  He says walking over to the door.

"Shoot,"

"You're my girlfriend right?"  (A/N:  I hate writing  questions like that especially when it's obvious but I just wanted to clear that up if you couldn't notice,)

"Of course,"  You smile at him

"Good,  I was hoping you would say that,"  He opens the door, "-Oh and hows your temper been?"  he asks 

"What?"  You ask somewhat confused 

"Don't forget that you have to control your temper, there have been many situations where I have... Well turned,"  

"Oh,"  You say he means turning into a Shadow Knight, "It's been good,  I haven't turned yet.  When I was there though it was was weird, for some reason, it almost seemed like they were babying me,"  

"What do you mean?" 

"when you became one... they sent you to go kill your lord,  right?"  

"Yeah,"

"That's the thing Sasha went with me, almost like she didn't want me getting hurt,"  

"That's odd Ill admit...  I'll ask her about it when I get back to the village," 

"Okay..."  You said,  "Bye Laurence..."  He gives a small wave goodbye as he closes the door behind him.  

You walk upstairs into your room.  You flop into your bed, not even wanting to think about the things going on.  But not thinking about other things your mind wanders to the thought of the nether.  Becoming a Shadow Knight hurt you in many ways.  Not only physically but mentally,  it almost felt as if something has shifted in your mind.  In your soul.  

the whole process was terrifying, and it changed everything, but you had to put that behind you.  You're a lord after all.

You close your eyes and enter your mind.  Slowly drifting off to sleep.

Your eyes open and look around.  Almost for a moment,  a split second you thought you were in the nether.  

"Oh my God!"  You scream and you feel your eyes fill with tears. You feel your heart beat faster and faster.  And your breathing has grown heavy.  You have trouble catching your breath.  

"So much for putting it behind me..."  You say sitting up straighter.

You get up from the bed and walk over to a bag on your bedside table.  You pull out a shirt and pants.  An extra set that you got from Cadenza. You hear a knock on your bedroom door "May I come in?"  You hear Laurence's voice and smile at it.

"One moment I'm changing,"  You say back 

"Well then I should really come in know don't you think?~"  He purrs 

"Uhm no."  You slip on your shirt and walk over to open the door.  He smiles at you 

"Good morning my-"  He stops and looks into your eyes "Are you okay? You don't look so good?"  

"Uh yes?  I just woke up and thought I was back in the nether..."  You say quietly 

"Oh.  Are you okay?"   

"Yes,  I'm fine..."    You walk away leaving the door open as an invitation.  He steps inside and sits down on your bed.  You walk over to your mirror with the matching pants.  Taking off the ones you slept in you slip them on.

"So you're stripping now?"  He says jokingly 

"Yes.  You didn't know?  I swore I told you..." You say you hear a small chuckle come from him. 

"I don't think I got the memo..."  You hear him get up and walk towards you.  His arms wrap around you and his chin rests on your shoulder.  His hands connect around your stomach.  "How have you been with the whole 'Shadow Knight thing' ?"  He asks quietly in your ear.  

"Good,"  You say lying you are not 'Good'.  You were completely terrified.

"Y/N?  You can tell me the truth."  

"I've been horrible,  My mind feels so messed up.  Everything feels out of place in my mind and body.  I am in pain physically and mentally."  You say giving in "I'm scared and I have this weird feeling like I almost want to give in to the shadow Lord..."  You say knowing it sounds horrible 

Laurence still wrapped around you says: "  Youll feel like that for a while... Having the sensation to kill.  I know it sounds horrible but it's true. Try to fight it,  you'll get rid of the feeling eventually."     He says 

"Thanks, Laurence..."  You say turning around and kissing him.    You know what you have to do know.  You know what to do about being Lord.  "Laurence?"  You say pulling away

"Hmm?"  He hums 

"I know what I'm going to do now,"  You say

"Pardon? "  He says a look of Confusion washing over his face.

"I mean about being Lord,"  His look of confusion now shows a happy one.

"You do?"  

"Yes, now pass me that sword over there please..."  I say 

"Why?"  He asks walking to the corner of the room and passes you the white sword.

"Because I'm going to need it if I'm going to be a guard,"
