"Yo-you won't! I'll make s-s-sure to chop up an-anyone that gets in th-the way~ if they t-touch you - they're dead."
I slowly nodded, I didn't want anyone to die but knowing full well what kind of person Toby is I'm not shocked that there be bloodshed. It unnerved me how I wasn't to the thought of him killing; has his unfazed nature to such a thing rubbed off on me?
After slipping on my coat I dusted off the high waisted dark brown trousers that now covered my legs; the docks were always cold at this time of night - I used to go with my brother before he passed away. Sighing, I rubbed my arms before turning to Toby.
"Will this work?"
He gave me a lazy grin whilst ruffling my (H/C) strands. "I'm twenty-five percent s-sure!"
That didn't make me feel better at all.
Arriving at the docks, I held my coat close to my chest as the stench of salt was violating my nostrils as the eerie feeling loomed over me as I stared up at the night sky. My body was nudged forward, I turned to see toby ushering me on silently to walk further down, and I did just that. Stepping further into the barely lit boards of the dock I couldn’t shake off the feeling that this will all end horrifically. Rubbing my arms I waited anxiously for the masked man to appear; it felt as if it has been hours but merely only a few moments. I could hear Toby’s bones crack as he waited among the shadows. Tapping my foot down on the boards it made a click each time. Frowning, I turned to the shadows I tried to make out the twitching males figure but it was a futile attempt; he was gone.
“You’re finally here, good.”
My head nodded slowly as I scanned him, I wasn’t going to let me guard down again around him.
“So doll, let’s make it easier for the both of us. Shall we?”
I nodded once again feeling at a loss for words; I couldn’t lie I was beyond anxious. The frowning masked man took slow condescending strides towards me as his hand reached forward, a gasp left my lips as a tight grip was now pinching on my flesh as he held my chin in place; I was forced to stare up at his mask.
“How are you alive?”
scrunching up my brows I looked at him with pure confusion.
“H-how am I alive? What do you mean?”
I could sense his intense gaze harden as his grip on my chin got tighter.
“Stop playing dumb. We both know what kind of business we’re in, so let me repeat myself doll.”
And so he did, letting each word roll off his tongue with a bitter and impatient tone. I heard the soft sound of something unsheathing – I prayed that he didn’t.
A hum escaped his throat as he took in my hopeless expression.
“Now that I get to see you this close…”
he tilted his head, I could feel his eyes all over my form causing me to flinch.
“Your jaw is more round-“ he dragged a finger along my jaw.
“Shoulders are much smaller.” His fingers squeezed my shoulder before feeling another hand slowly drag itself down from the side of my chest to my hips letting each gloved finger feel every curve. “More plump.”
A shiver ran down my spine at the contact he was giving me.
“Do tell me doll, how did you change so much?”
I cried out as the air was sliced through by a flying hatchet, my eyes widened as the man’s mask was slice across the face revealing the tip of his nose and his top lip; blood falling onto my shirt as a cut formed between the exposed areas. He chuckled, his voice now more clear as he moved the cut would widened with the movement of his lips.
“So you were here. Just as I thought.”
Toby was seething as he gripped his other hatchet letting his lifeless eyes be filled with pure deadly loathing, his body twitched rapidly and more violent with each tic.
“C-chop. Chop. Chop.”
He jumped over the crate as he muttered to himself before breaking into a sprint as he screamed on the top of his lungs with a grin so wide I could see it even under his mouth guard.
“CHOP!”
he swung his hatchet down aiming straight for the other man’s arm joint, the masked man jumped back. Each swing was sloppy trying to reach the target as he glared at his new victim.
Turning on my heel I ran straight for the other hatchet; in case either of them tried anything at least I would be armed. I was the most least threatening being on the earth, I’m sure a child would look more fierce than I ever would, as my body was trembling holding the heavy weapon with both hands. The masked man grabbed Toby’s arm as well as his shoulder, the hatchet cutting through his sleeve, Toby’s eyes widened as he was pressed against the males back before being harshly pulled over the taller males shoulder. Grunting in frustration as he landed on the floor he pushed himself up but the force of the masked man’s foot stamping itself on his chest pushed him back to the floor.
“You don’t feel pain right? It makes fighting you harder but I’m still heavier than you giving me an advantage.”
I could see the older man’s lips curl up into a smirk, he leaned down to grasp Toby’s hatchet before slumping it over his shoulder.
Running closer to them I pointed the hatchet to the fedora wearing male.
“g-get off him!”
toby dug his fingers into the stronger male’s ankle.
“Tobias Erin Rogers, male, age twenty-four, underboss to the operator, has multiple mental illnesses since birth, has one living relative. His sweet dear mommy~”
toby jerked as his grip got tighter as he screamed.
“SH-SHUT UP! YOU DO-DON’T KNOW WHA-AT YOU’RE SAYING! I- I DON’T HAVE FAMILY!”
despite the anger that boomed loudly in his voice there was a hint of disbelief – as if he wasn’t sure if what he was saying was right.
“I know everything about you-“ the older male tilted his head. “But yet you only know your name and your damn boss. Do you even know her name?”
he pointed a finger at me, I stepped closer gulping before adjusting my hold on it so the blunt blade was by my head. Toby didn’t respond before pulling down his mouth guard, a snarl on his face.
“(Y/N).” he hissed out with a sparkle of pride in his eyes. “L-lets chop hi-im up~!”
I whispered an apology before swinging down the hatchet letting it slightly dig into the masked man’s arm, he stumbled off before I yanked the weapon out and swung it down again letting it slice the flesh of his arm messily, blood splattered my clothes as it began bursting out. He grabbed the handle just below the blade grunting.
“Non fidarti di lui.”
My lips parted, before I could say anything I was forced to pull the hatchet out of his crimson arm as he let go of the handle, he was left to bleed out as toby grabbed my hand and rushed off with me stumbling behind him as I turned back to see the male shaking.
