Let Her Go

She sipped her drink and looked up at me. 

"You said you had something to talk to me about?" She said taking another drink.

"Oh, well. I was gonna ask you somethin'...." I took a sip of my drink then looked back at her.

"Do you have feelins' for me?" I looked down at my hands.

I looked up when I didn't here anything. Her eyes were big and she looked surprised that I asked that question. I was surprised to.

"I uh, what makes you say that?" She does? What the-

"Your voice got all high and there's not a straight answer. You do, don't you?" I looked down at my drink.

I heard her sigh and then felt her eyes on me.

"Are you mad?" I looked up to see her facial expression and saw her teal blue eyes full of fear. She looked so scared of rejection.

"No, I just.... Can I tell you something?" Here this goes.... 

"Yeah. You know you can tell me anything."

"At the sleep over, we played seven minutes in heaven. Well, me being with Rarity and all, we were the first to go. When we were in there, we started kissing and that lead to makin' out and she pulled my hair. So I moaned but I didn't say her name.... So she got mad and left." I looked down blushing that I told her that.

"I'm so sorry Applejack. Are you two still together?" I looked up at her, feeling tears in my eyes.

"I don't know...." I said sipping my drink.

"I don't mean this in any way rude but, why did you feel the need to tell me this?" I looked down and started fiddling with my hands.

"Cause I said your name...." I frowned as I began to think. "When we met up a couple of days ago, I couldn't get you out of my head. I don't know why for sure, but I'm thinking it's cause I might like you. I've known you since we were little, and your so amazing Rara. You sing like a goddess and look like an angel. I just don't understand why my feelings are coming up now when I'm with Rarity.... Or was...."

"Applejack.... I don't know what to say."

"I don't either...." I said as I looked up at her.

"I don't think this is something I can help with.... But I know I will support you with whatever you choose." 

"Thanks. That means a lot."

"So what are you going to do?"

"Well, I'm gonna try and talk to her. Maybe buy me some time to think this over. I hate that the five of us are separating. Twilight and Dash are mad at each other. Me and Rarity are fighting. I think Pinkie is the glue for us. But maybe if I talk to her, she'll calm down and listen to me."

She got up and through her cup away and walked up to me.

"AJ?" She took my hands and pulled me up. She stood in front of me and looked me straight in the eyes.

"Y-yeah?" What the freakin' hay? Why did I stutter?

I looked at her eyes and saw pure love in them.

"I love you." My eyes widened at that.

"Coloratura...." To say I was shocked was an understatement.

"And that's why...." I watched as her eyes filled with tears. She grabbed my shoulders and pulled me into a hug.

"That's why I have to let you go Applejack...." I heard her break into sobs as she gripped shirt and cried. "You belong with her AJ. You two are complete opposites, and you guys fit each other perfectly."
