The Last Of Me (Astro Boy x Robot Reader)

And So It Begins

Astro quickly checked her pulse and then brought his now bloody hand away. He turned his head away and shut his eyes tightly. He then opened the door and left. He limped to his car and drove away, there was nothing more he could do.

When Astro went back home. Reno came out, shielding his eyes from the sun. "Astro? What happened?" He asked. "Did something go wrong?"

"It was all just wrong, from the beginning." Astro told. Reno sighed and turned back to the car and saw that the boot was open with an unfamiliar bag in it. Reno picked up the bag and looked at it.

"Astro!" Reno called out. "Astro!" Astro then came out of the house.

"What is it?" He asked, leaning on the door frame. Then he saw what Reno had in his hand and came closer.

"Who does this belong to?" Reno asked. Astro furrowed his brow and looked at it closer. He then looked in the boot, nothing else was in there. "And who's that?" Reno questioned, referring to a black car that was speeding onto their land.

 "G-Go inside and keep O'shay quite." Astro ordered. "Go! Quickly!" Reno nodded and ran inside.

The man that stepped out of the car was Alexander Mini Mini, the man that gave Astro his card a while ago. Astro tensed up.

"You need to turn around. This is private property." He told.

"Yes it is. In fact, I believe it belongs to a Multinational Smelting company... based in Shanghai." Alexander grinned. Astro clenched his fists. "Where are you keeping the old man?" he walked past Astro. "Is he over there?" He was facing the shed that O'shay was in fact, living in. Alexander turned around. "I'd like to meet him. I'm told the agency classifies his brain as one of the most intelligent in the world."

"He's been dead for years." Astro lied. Alexander nodded, uncaring.

"I need the girl." He told.

"What girl?" Astro asked.

"The one that goes along with that bag you're holding." Alexander nodded towards the (F/C) bag.

"There's no girl here." Astro told.

"I know you went to the motel." Axelander said.

"Yeah, I was called there. There was no girl. Just a woman." Astro growled, remembering seeing your mother.

"Such as she was." Alexander nodded. "So, you saw (M/N), but you didn't call me?" Alexander walked up close to Astro getting in his personal space. "That hurts." Alex cocked his brow up. "You didn't shoot both of them, did you?"

"No, did you?" Astro asked back, already knowing that he most likely did.

"I asked you first." Alexander grinned.

"I don't like guns." Astro growled.

"Of course." Alexander nodded. "I wish you'd called me Astro. Like I asked." The man placed his hand on Astro's shoulder. Astro quickly tugged it away, only to feel that he.. had a robot arm. Alexander chuckled. "You're not the only one who's enhanced." Although, Alexander was completely human, apart from his right arm.

Suddenly, a loud grunt mixed with a scream was heard. Then a large pole came flying and hit Alexander over the head. Alexander's head flopped forward and back, he blinked a few times and then fell to the floor with a thud. Another pole cam flying towards Astro, but this time he caught it. He looked to see you standing about a few metres away from him with a almost angry expression.

"Astro, Astro!" O'shay came out on his wheelchair. "This is (Y/N)." The doctor was smiling happily. "Reno come!" O'shay said, Reno had just come out of the house. "This is who I've been telling you about. This is (Y/N)." He introduced you again. You stepped forward into the sunlight. "We've been waiting for you." O'shay gestured for you to come over to him. "Come- come here (Y/N). It's okay, come."

You were beginning to walk over to O'shay, but then you saw Astro with your bag. You stepped closer to him and snatched it away from him. Astro jumped back at your movement. You glared at him before going to O'shay's side. Astro looked at you with one eyebrow lifted up. Did you not like him?

"Come, it's okay." O'shay said, leading you into the house. "You can stay here (Y/N)." He told. Reno walked up to Astro as Astro kicked over the man to look at his face.

"Looks like ex-military." Reno pointed out. "Bounty hunter maybe?"

"Worse." Astro handed Reno the business card he got from the man.

"Do you think he's alone?"

"Not for long." Astro dropped the poll you threw at him and leaned down to grab the man's gun. "Get him back into his ride and take him out to the lake and dump him on the side of the road."

"What if he wakes up before I get there?" Reno questioned. Astro looked down at him and then kicked his head, knocking him even more unconscious than he probably already was.

"I doubt he would, but now he wont for sure." Astro passed the gun to Reno who grabbed it and unintentionally pointed it at Astro. Astro sighed sweat a little. He lowered the gun away from him. "Text me where you are and we'll pick you up." Astro turned around and went back inside.

You sat with Doctor O'shay, whom made you some cereal. You looked at him and smiled ever so slightly. The Doctor was marvelled by you. "Yes, yes. Eat up." He nodded.

Astro came in and saw your bag. He went to grab it but you quickly dropped what you were doing and grabbed onto it too. He started to pull it but you very strong, making Astro use both hands. "Hey, hey!" Astro tugged again.

"Astro, Astro!" O'shay called.

"You'll get it back once I figure out what your mother has gotten us into!" Astro said, not letting go.

"Astro!"

"What??" Astro looked at O'shay.

"I don't- I don't think that-" O'shay stuttered and tried to find the right words. Astro let go and you pulled the bag closer to yourself. This relationship wasn't getting off on a good start. "Astro, the women that you met, that's not her mother."

Astro walked over to get some of O'shay's medication. "So she talks?"

"Yes, yes. We've been communicating." O'shay nodded. Astro passed him the pills.

"Take these." Astro said. "We have to get out of here, it's not safe here anymore and you can't have an attack out there, okay?"

"Yes." O'shay washed them down with water. "But this is the robot I've been told you about."

Astro sighed. "She's not a robot."

"Yes she is!" Doctor O'shay said.

"What kind of robot is she? What gifts does she have? Eating? Pipe throwing?" Astro said sarcastically. Suddenly the ground started to shake. You stood up quickly, making O'shay turn around.

"Don't worry." He put his hand up. "It's just a train, a choo choo." He explained. "Okay? It's just a train." You nodded slowly and sat back down. Astro noticed how jumpy you were a just decided to brush it off, it's not like you would talk to him about it anyway.
