"He seemed to be a good man"

"He was" I took out more pictures with Regina, Robin, Belle, even with Mr. Gold. He paid careful attention to each of them. Last but not the least, I showed him a picture with the both of us in the dock were he was wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning his chin on my shoulder.

"This was taken two months ago. You woke me at six in the morning so we could both see the sun rising in the horizon. It was a beautiful experience"

His eyes were focused in the photograph.

"I deduce we were really close" he said.

"A lot"

"Were we friends?" I let out a small chuckle.

"More than friends actually" I thought about my next sentence. Should I tell him we were a couple about to get married? "Killian, we are-"

Some footsteps cut my words. I turned my head as a nurse set foot in the room. It was the same woman I had scared, the one with the grayish cat-like eyes. Wasn't any other nurse around there?

"Doctor Whale wants to make him a check-up. He'll arrive in a moment" she said with a squeaky voice and left us alone again. I glanced at Killian, who was still focused on the picture.

"I'll come to see you later. You can keep the pictures" I stood up slowly, waiting to hear something from him, telling me to continue the unfinished sentence or at least to say goodbye. When I got none of this I disappointedly heaved a sigh and leaved Killian's pirate outfit in the closet, including his hook. I thought it would be useful for him at some moment. Reluctantly, I made my way out.

His voice stopped me before I quit.

"I didn't catch your name"

I bit my lower lip and turned to him. His confused gaze met mine.

"Swan. Emma Swan" I tenderly smiled to him. Killian gave me then an honest and truthful smile. That simple gesture fed my hopes.

"See you later, Emma"

I nodded and left the room satisfied, at least more than the previous day. Maybe getting him back wasn't going to be as harsh as I thought. He just needed a little push.

[Killian]

I kept my eyes on the picture. Who was this Swan girl? Which was her role in my life? The photograph was somewhat beautiful. The lass was... well, she was pretty as well. I took a look at the other ones. All those people knew me. They were friends and family but I couldn't remember them. My memories were still gone.

After Dr. Whale checked me up I began to walk around the hospital, I needed to stretch out my legs and see more things than the ones in my room.

"Killian" a young voice said behind me. I turned and saw a brunet lad who I quickly recognized from the pictures.

"Henry, right?"

"How did you know?"

"Emma-Your mother showed me a picture with you in it"

"Oh" he replied somehow disillusioned "You don't remember but we are good friends"

"Really? I wish I remembered you"

"I can help by telling you the things we used to do together"

"Sounds nice"

We spent the next couple of hours talking, well Henry was the one who talked, about the things we did together in Storybrooke. He seemed to be a good boy and a funny one, however, some of the stuff he told me had no sense. Still, I didn't want to ask.

"I have to leave" Henry said after taking a last sip of his coke "My mom is waiting outside, well my other mom"

"I don't follow you" I said confused.

"Emma is my birth mother, she gave me on adoption and Regina adopted me"

"Oh, I see"

"It was nice chatting with you. Maybe we can do it another time" Henry smiled to me.

"It would be great" I smiled back and watched the lad leaving the place. I really enjoyed the time with Henry, he was really trying to help me get my memories back, I could notice it. It was a shame I couldn't remember him.

The moon was already visible and its reflected light illuminated the dark and lonely place. I stared at the white boring ceiling for a long time. The confusion invaded my mind again and again. Henry. Emma. My life. My gone hand. Dammit! The more I tried to understand things the more puzzling they became. I began to breathe faster and faster for no reason, feeling a sudden struggle inside of me. I got up and looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't even recognize myself! Who was this man? I was a stranger.

I got so furious I threw away all the things set on the night table, including a drinking-glass which broke into small and pointed pieces. I put my hand on my forehead, I felt I was going to have a head ache.

Immediately, I had a rather queer sensation, as if someone had pulled the gun's trigger and the bullet filled with memories from the past hit me directly in the head.

"I... I remember. I know who I am.

I'm Captain Hook"
