Jeremy's Point Of View

What was up with Y/N? She's not normally like that. She's usually always welcoming and caring, but recently she'd been significantly less compassionate and empathetic. She'd always loved hanging out with Michael before. What's so different now?

Jeremy didn't want to over think things and assume the worst. So he told himself that it couldn't possibly have anything to do with the SQUIP and that he was just seeing things. He decided to text Michael to see if he'd been noticing anything off about Y/N too, lately.

JEREMY: Do you think Y/N's been acting strange?

MICHAEL: What do you mean?

JEREMY: IDK. Some of the things I love most about her aren't there anymore.

MICHAEL: Maybe you've already turned into an old married couple. Haha LOL

JEREMY: Dude, I'm serious. Think about it... Really think about it.

MICHAEL: I mean, maybe a little, but don't read too much into it. It's probably just her time of the month. LOL I don't want you overthinking and thinking that it has something to do with the SQUIP, because we already took care of that bastard.

Well that didn't help at all.

They had thought they had taken care of the SQUIP the previous year, and then after Jeremy and Oliver. Both of those times it had turned out to be wrong. Maybe it's not so much of a stretch for something odd to be going on. 

But... Y/N? 

Why Y/N?

It's always Y/N.

The SQUIP always made it personal with Jeremy and using his girlfriend was something he would do and has done in the past. 

Jeremy wanted to be wrong. Because if he was right... That would mean that Y/N's been trapped, in pain, and he hadn't noticed or done anything about it. 

How could Jeremy test Y/N to see if she was actually herself or not, without completely alerting the possible SQUIP inside...?

"That's a pretty basic plan." Michael commented. "I mean, it's not very stealthy, is it?"

Jeremy scoffed in mock annoyance. 

He was just gonna offer the mountain dew red to her. If she took it, then she was okay. But if she didn't, and was trying to get her way around it, she was anything but okay.

But he had a backup plan just in case. One that was not nearly as "sane" as that one. Which was to force her to drink it.

Y/N arrived at Jeremy's later in the day. Michael was hiding in the closet, standing by in case they would have to go with his other plan.
