"Hm, but it seems like you've forgotten a lot of things," Hiromi laughs, stepping right in front of Ubel. "Ku outranks you in magic and I don't need to. I'm willing to bet that even anyone in the family is more powerful than you. Our love will make you tremble."
Ubel steps back. The magic energy radiating from her is too strong for him. Hiromi's eyes glow gold and a smile forms on her lips.
"We're going to win Ubel. You will always be the loser you've been," Hiromi then smirks, effectively scaring Ubel.
The silver haired mage steps back in fear. His yellow eyes not able to hide it as his hands shake.
How is she so powerful? Ubel desperately asks his brain. How is she not a Royal of Magic? Ku knew what he was getting into...but I'm powerful too..! I technically outrank her! Why can't I be liked by others too?!
"You've got a shitty personality, that's why," Hiromi practically reads his mind and answers while checking her nails. "No one can be around someone who treats them like shit."
"I-" Ubel gets cut off by Hiromi shaking her index finger at him.
"I know you think you aren't but you do. It's annoying and you're a toxic person. You should learn really," Hiromi shakes her head at him.
"I'm done here," Ubel growls before turning on his heel, his green cloak blowing air at Hiromi.
"Finally," Hiromi sits down. "Now what do I do...? My son...how are you doing? I hope you've found your dad and your siblings. Amy and Rohan will love you..."
Hiromi feels tears form in her eyes and she wipes them away. She runs her hand through her brown hair.
"I'm sorry," Hiromi leans against the cold wall. "Please be okay...I'm coming. I promise I'm coming back home. Maybe I'll even bring back Ubel and throw him in jail."
She shoots a golden ray at the shield but it absorbs it and she punches the ground in annoyance.
"Damnit. I have to figure out a way fast. Ubel has clearly got something up his sleeve," Hiromi takes a deep breath.
And I'm going to stop it. He won't get away with whatever he's got planned, Hiromi promises herself. Now then, I can use my magic so the walls...
Hiromi gets up and aims her hands at the wall. A golden ray shoots at them. The wall falls, but it reveals the shield.
"Wow, he's actually gotten smarter," Hiromi looks impressed, but more surprised. "I was not expecting this at all..."
--
Ku keeps glancing back at Red to check on him. The meeting ended and they were all hanging out back home. With their new friend of course.
"So, what's the staff for?" Hiro questions, pointing to the gold pendent in the middle.
"It holds my Family Relic," Ku gently runs his hand over it.
"Woah, a Powers' Family Relic?" Hiro looks intrigued. "That's so cool!"
"Well, I am a Powers after all," Ku chuckles.
"I'm telling you all," Ava looks at her friends. "Hiro and Ku are related. Somehow they are! Their eyes are literally the same!"
"It's possible but it doesn't seem likely," Owen muses.
"Yeah I mean, what are the chances that his long lost son just appears like this?" Urana shrugs.
"You've gotta be pretty lucky," Sasha comments. "Speaking of which, I've got a date tomorrow."
