The boy thought on his sister's words for a moment.
"Okay. I promise, B."
"Alright. I'll hold you to that."
"Wow."
Nico sits up and suddenly the background and landscape all disappear as he grows taller, his hair longer.
How he normally looked.
"Gods, I honestly forgot about this." The voice said.
He whipped his head around, trying to find the source though it seemed to be coming from all around. He put himself into a defensive stance before calling out, "Where-"
"Not that you would remember it cause you were just so tiny there." The voice gushed. This time, it came from right behind him and he whirled around, coming face to face with his late sister.
"B!" He exclaimed, throwing his arms around her form which was surprisingly solid. "I- I don't understand, I thought you were going for rebirth?" He questioned frantically as he pulled away.
"Yeah, I was. I am, I mean." She chuckled out. "Turns out, there's a lot of paper work that goes into the process, but I should be done soon." She offered her brother a warm smile. "Though, I think we both know I didn't come here to chit-chat."
Nico's smile fell at that and he backed away while clearing his throat. "Yes, of course. What's going on?" He asked seriously.
Bianca grinned. "Don't get all serious on me." She exclaimed, punching her little brother's shoulder playfully. "It's not anything end-of-the-world related. It's more so about you."
"Me?" He asked in slight disbelief.
Bianca took hold of his shoulders. "I wanted to warn you, Neeks. A hardship is coming. One that could really make or break... well, whatever you have going here with the Son of Apollo."
Nico frowned at her words. "Whatever I have going on here? What's that supposed to mean?" He questioned, getting defensive of his relationship.
Bianca opened her mouth before pursing her lips. "I just... I don't know, I just... Why... Why..."
"Say it." Nico challenged, backing away from her steel grasp on his shoulders and crossing his arms. He emitted a sort of confidence from his stature but deep down, he could feel his fear bubbling up in his stomach like a stew left on the fire too long.
"It's just... he's so bright." Nico's let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. "I don't know, I guess I just never really thought you'd go for someone like that."
"Not that I don't miss our talks, but why are we having this one exactly?"
"Not that you would've been better with someone like Percy, gods no. You know, I think I almost fancied him for a quick moment. Though, that moment was gone as quickly as it'd come but still, I can sort of see why you liked him for so long-"
"Bianca-"
"Not to mention how much he's grown since he found us. Quite admirable if you ask me-"
"Bianca!" Nico shouted. "Get. To. The. Point."
"Hm? Oh! Right, I don't really have that much time."
"You're more talkative than you were in life." He muttered in annoyance under his breath.
Bianca hit his shoulder again. "It's the whole rebirth thing." She agreed. "My personality is probably going to be really bubbly." She shuddered at the thought. "But anyhow... what was I talking about?" She muttered as Nico facepalmed.
