"No. Just the base and the carpet," the real-estate agent answered. Dan sighed deeply. "Maybe we have to move out of the building entirely," he said gloomily. I went to hug him, but the real-estate agent coughed.
"I did save the best for last. I think you'll be happy with this one."
When the agent pushed the button for the floor we were already living on hope started to raise within me. "I'm sure you always wondered what a condo that had a door directly in the corner looked like," he said. Dan and I were standing in front of a door that wasn't like the others. It was diagonal and only one unit away from where we were currently living.
When the agent opened the door I gasped slightly. It was like a modern version of our condo. From what the agent said it had undergone some renovations three months ago so new things were put in. The downstairs looked the same, but it was a bit smaller than our current home. The same hardwood as our current place ran along the entire condo, which made Dan and I extremely happy.
This one did feature a powder room downstairs and two upstairs. The master bedroom was slightly bigger than the one Ave and Luke shared. I guess it was because there was an entire bedroom less here. The ensuite was also updated with a nicer tub, shower, and sink and the tiles were newer. The second washroom was right in-between the second bedroom and the Den.
"I love it," I said as we made our way back downstairs. Dan agreed and the agent smiled at us. "I take it that you like this one better than the one level that you really liked?" he asked us. I thought about it for a second. The one level was much cheaper, but it was on a lower floor so the view wasn't as good. It also didn't have a powder room. Not to mention that being so close to Luke and Ave could come in handy if anything happens.
"I think Sky and I both agree on this one," Dan told the agent. I was afraid of the price. Dan and I could surely handle it since we both worked and hadn't really spent much money after our wedding. The fact that Luke forced us to accept his money also helped a lot. He didn't think that it would be fair that we moved out of a place that we paid all of the utilities and maintenance fee's for.
"No one has checked this unit out yet so you don't have to worry. If you decide that you want it right now, it's yours. The earliest day you can move in is in two weeks on thanksgiving weekend." Dan and I looked at each other and both smiled. We didn't even have to say anything to each other before Dan stuck his hand out.
"We'll take it."

"I can't believe that the weekend is already here!" Ave complained. She was really sad that we were moving out, but happy that we were only two doors apart. "Time flew by I guess," I said as I put my wool sweater on. October and it's already cold. "At least we only have to wheel the things there," Ave said as she started pushing a large cart with a few boxes on it. When I tried to help she almost screamed at me.
Dan and Luke helped each other carry the boxes upstairs. Sadly the bed wouldn't fit sideways so we had to dismantle it and put it in a box. "You know she's right," Dan said. I groaned. "Just because I'm four and a half months pregnant doesn't mean I can't do anything," I complained.
Dan sighed at me. "I'll let you put our new plates in the cupboards. Nothing heavier than that, got it?" He said. I scowled at him. "Yes Mr. Phillips," I growled before attempting to storm off into the kitchen. I failed when I tripped on myself and landed on the sofa. Dan ran to help me up, but couldn't contain his laughter.
