Hurry Up or We're Both Gonna Die (Chapter 25)

Start from the beginning

"She's totally badass," Quill grins. "She's gonna win! Just you all watch!"

"Is there any doubt about it?" Red smiles. "Urana is plenty powerful enough to fend for herself."

"I agree, and I've only known her for a short time," Hiro nods his head.

"How can you guys be so optimistic?" Brenton asks, finding it hard with every passing day to stay on the positive side.

"It's because we believe in Urana," Red answers. "Because we believe in her, we know she's going to be okay."

"Also, you learn to always try to be on the positive side," Scott adds in, finishing up his breakfast,

"Not to mention that you need to stay somewhat positive to keep your health okay," Hiro chimes in. "Though anxiety makes me wanna die every time I try."

"And well, it's just always believing for the best too," Amy smiles down at her food.

"Ahem, they mean it's because of me," Quill smiles brightly, cupping her face with her hands. "I'm the reason why everyone is so optimistic!"

"For sure," Alex and Ava agree, bobbing their heads with a smile.

"I'm gonna go talk to Sensei now, I need to ask him something," Hiro gets up, his plate finished given that Red would look at him from the corner of his eye.

"Cool, just let him know that we're all gonna take a bit of a walk outside. The teens need some fresh air," Red says.

"Except for Sasha," Scott grins.

"Hey! I got some useful information unlike you four eyes!" Sasha glares.

"Woah there, that's my favorite nickname to call him!" Amy waves her hands in front of her.

"That shouldn't be anyone's favorite nickname to call me!" Scott cries out.

"Haha, four eyes!" Quill bursts into laughter like a little kid who's just discovered a funny word.

"Quill," Red looks exasperated as he glances over at his little sister. "Let's try to not insult each other."

"Thank you Red," Scott huffs, his fork clattering onto the plate in annoyance.

Hiro finds Ku sitting next to the hospital bed Urana is on. The teenager didn't look any better, or any worse.

The brown haired mage sits down next to Ku, who looks over upon his arrival. Hiro offers a sympathetic smile to the elderly man who looks sad.

"Maybe it's not the best time to ask you about this, but we've been thinking about what to do for the twins' birthday," Hiro starts, speaking softly.

"Ah yes. The twins' birthday..." Ku's voice trails off. "Perhaps it is best to leave it be this year...Urana is in a coma and I highly doubt Brenton would want to celebrate that."

"I get that, but I mean it's his first birthday with you all...shouldn't that mean something?" Hiro questions, an almost pleading look on his face. He didn't know why he wanted for them to have a birthday...he just felt that they maybe needed one.

"It does, but right now," Ku pauses, looking at Urana with sorrow. Thinking about how he managed to let someone else suffer as well. "Right now, maybe the best thing to do is to let Brenton know that we are here. A celebration is not needed. Just something simple."

"Yeah," Hiro agrees. "Now maybe you should go out and walk for a bit with the others. I can stay here with Urana."

"It is fine Hiro. You should go with them," Ku smiles such a sad smile that Hiro recognizes as his own.
