The monster within me- Enoch O'Connor

Enoch O'connor had been waiting. He had been waiting for 12 months.One year. For Antoinette Rose Justice to come back to him. She had been gone too long. Her ghostly presents were in the house.

When he ate dinner. When he was trying to fall asleep at night. When he was fighting his dolls. When he was dreaming of her.

Every night she was there. Permanently in his dreams. Permanently in his nightmares.

Every drop of sweat that rolled off his temples and onto the bed sheets were filled with hate, anger and the burning rage that she was gone. Her voice echoing through his head. Every decision he made was criticised or encouraged by her soft voice in his mind. He saw her. He could feel her.

"Am i insane?" he asked himself one evening as he sat on his bed.

But instead of hearing her voice, he heard silence. It had sunk in. She wasn't there. She hadn't been for the past two years. He sat on his bed and cried.

When movie night came, Miss Peregrine made Enoch come downstairs and watch.

It was just Horace, trying on suits. Then it was Jacob and Emma fighting a hollow, with a bow and arrow. and then a snake, it was slithering down a corridor and up to Enoch's room. The dream blurred again and then it showed the front door from the inside. The stained glass had a blurred figure behind it. The door bell rang with a loud chime, that made everyone's ears ring. The dream faded and darkened to black. And it was gone. Enoch fell asleep shortly afterwards. And had the same dream that he always had.

The next morning came quicker than ever, and Enoch was still emotionless, dead. Thats when he heard it again. The same doorbell from the dream. His ears were ringing. He approached the door and saw the looming, blurred shadow from outside of it. He froze.

And then the door swung open.
