My eyebrows furrow and I pull my phone from my back pocket.
Incoming Call: Josh Dun
"Wow, speak of the devil." I say, turning towards my wife. Jenna looks shocked yet amused as well.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Hey, what's up?" My drummer friend replies.
"I was just talking to Jenna about Iceland, hey have you spoken to (Y/N) about the wedding?" I ask, Jenna looks at me a little lost.
I put the phone on speaker. "Hey, you're on speaker now-" I say.
"Hi Josh!" Jenna greets him.
"Hey Jenna! Yeah, I talked to her." He replies to my previous question.
"How'd it go?" I ask another question.
"Wait, what's going on?" Jenna asks us.
"I had the idea that (Y/N) and I could get married in Iceland while we're there." Josh replies, filling her in.
"Oh wow that's awesome!" Jenna smiles.
"Yeah, (Y/N) seems excited too!" Josh chimes.
"So you've talked?" I ask once again.
"Yep, she's totally on board."
In the background of Josh's call, I hear music.
"Hey, is there music or something playing?"
"Oh, actually that's Delilah playing bass. She's auditioning for Broken Castle." He answers me.
"Oh, really? That's cool." I reply, Jenna nodding.
"So what's been going on with you guys?" Josh changes conversation.
"You know, just finishing Trench. There's this song I can't wait for you to add the drum beats too." I smile, delighted.
"I can't wait to hear them! Not much longer now and we'll be literally in Trench." Josh chuckles.
"Yeah, and then tour." Jenna reminds us.
"I'm so excited to tour again." Josh sighs, I agree.
Trench is a concept that's been sitting with me for a long while honestly. There's so much I want to capture with this new album, I just hope it's executed well and that the fans will enjoy it.
"Me too, man."
"I can't believe only a few more weeks then I'll be back in Ohio to record." Josh comments.
"I know, I can't wait though!" I reply back.
"Me neither. Alright, well I better get going. Nice talking to you guys!" Josh says goodbye, as do Jenna and I, and hangs up.
So many thoughts are rummaging my mind right now.
I'm nervous but excited but so nervous.
Everything is happening so soon. Am I even ready for this?
...Maybe not.
I let out an exhausted sigh, rubbing my hands on my face.

Jenna rubs my back lovingly. "Hey, don't worry about it. Everything will be fine, I promise." She pecks my forehead.
I breathe out, the bad thoughts slowly start to fade.

i hope you're doing well. i got a new laptop that i am loooving it, so hopefully i'll be writing more! i already have some ideas (some that might even involve ~sOmEtHiNg nEw~)
