"Any more people giving order's around here and we'll have to make five different chiefs." He remarked. You chuckled as did Valka and Arrow who were also close to you both up in front of everyone.
You enjoyed the long flight, taking in the joy of a road trip more so than most of the others. IT was relaxing and fun. You remembered when you and our family used to go sailing for days just to get away from the chaos that was Berk. Your father had taught you a lot about how to take care of yourselves while out at sea. Those had been peaceful and happy days for you, minus the dragon attacks, of course.
Soon enough, you all had been flying for a while. You had taken a few quick breaks, but no place you'd come across was anywhere you could stay. You had liked exploring when nobody had been paying attention, however. It was one of your quirks that you'd never really gotten over.
As the journey continued, Gobber came up to talk to Hiccup as well. "I feel like I'm always asking you this question but- Woah!" Gobber dropped as Grump fell asleep for a moment. He was able to get control of Grump again though and came back up. Meanwhile, Hiccup was looking across the horizon with his spyglass. "Is there an actual plan or-?"
"Just keep flying until we reach the end of the world." Hiccup stated.
"Ah, seems sensible," Gobber replied sarcastically. Snotlout started to complain moments later.
"Ugh. It just keeps going."
"That's because the world is actually round," Tuffnut said. You gave him a weird look, wondering how that topic even came up. Hiccup rolled his eyes and kept looking through his spyglass. "The sun is round. Moon is round." Tuff began listing off. Arrow chuckled and looked over at Valka who shrugged with a grin in response. "Stars are round. Even though they're small and stupid." Ruffnut laughed along with her brother. You paused as he continued to talk.
"...Is it weird that he is actually making sense?" You asked.
"Yes, very," Arrow replied.
"I mean, I've never actually seen any corners..." You admitted.
"...Okay, don't make me start questioning this please."
"Are you saying you have joined my theory, (Y/n)!?" Tuff asked excitedly. You thought about it.
"...Tell you what, if you can prove you're right, I will never question you again."
"YES! You're on!"
"There's no possible way he can prove that," Arrow muttered as he flew closer to you.
"Exactly, therefore he both is and isn't right in this scenario. Everyone wins."
As this was going on, you noticed Toothless was looking around as if he sensed something. Nightshade began doing the same. It was clear something was going on, but the question was what? It wasn't long before you all noticed their odd behaviors.
"What you picking up on, bud?" Hiccup asked the dragon. Nightshade looked over to the side. She roared at something moving alongside you all. You looked over and you gasped.
"It's her! It's the Light Fury!" You exclaimed with joy.
"She's following us!" Valka said, equally pleased. The Light Fury shot another plasma blast and turned invisible again.
"Where did she go? Is she made of the sky?" Tuff asked. You saw Toothless race upward with Hiccup in tow as he went after the Light Fury.
"Woah! Hold up, Toothless!" You chuckled as the two went upward together. You knew where this was gonna end up.
"Oh boy, here we go."
"What?" Arrow asked.
"Just watch." You replied, knowing exactly what was going to happen. You all watched Hiccup and Toothless. You spotted her coming up behind them. You grinned, already starting to snicker.
"And in three...two...one." Just like that, Hiccup was off of Toothless and being carried by the Light Fury. She threw him and Hiccup screamed as he fell. The Light Fury looked pleased with herself, but Toothless grinned awkwardly at her before going to save his rider.
The two of them came back up to join you all seconds later. Hiccup did not look amused, but everybody else was either trying not to laugh or chuckling to themselves about what had just occurred. Hiccup heard this and said,
"Not a word." You very obviously faked a heartbroken frown.
"Awww! I had something funny to say!" You whined with a grin on your face as he looked at you, clearly annoyed.
"Say it anyway!" Tuff yelled.
"Yeah!" Ruff agreed. You looked back at them, your amusement growing every second.
"Don't you even dare," Hiccup muttered.
"It was a compliment actually." You mentioned casually, trying to intrigue him.
"Yeah. I'm sure." He agreed sarcastically.
"What? I was just going to say I give you a perfect ten for those graceful diving skills." You taunted, trying to hold in your snickers and keep the grin off your face. The twins and Snotlout burst out laughing and even Arrow and Valka couldn't stop themselves from laughing along. Hiccup groaned and flew a little further ahead. You sighed with a smile and followed after him. "Come on, you get to tease me so the same goes for you too, you know." You reminded, knowing the others couldn't hear you now. "Besides, at the end of the day, who are you always next to?" He blushed just enough for you to notice that your words had worked.
"You." He mumbled, not meeting your gaze and too embarrassed about it to do so. You chuckled.
"Well, if I were you, I'd count that as a win in my book any day of the week." He looked over with a small side smile on his face now.
"I swear (Y/n), I have no idea what to do with you."
"Good. That keeps our relationship interesting." He chuckled as the two of you kept leading the others along on your journey.
