Chapter Thirty-Nine: "Thor."

Start from the beginning

"I ain't plan this wedding for nothing. Somebody's getting married tomorrow." She says. I feel everybody's eyes uncomfortable falling on Sophia and I. I ignore them, focusing on Maya. She pulls back, looking at me with tears eyes. "It's okay princess." I mumble, swinging her into

"Now.. what?" Jamal asks warily, bouncing a calm Cameron on his hip. My eyes shifts from his to Sophia who I was now sitting next to and grabbing her hand. She flinched slightly before relaxing.

"My son left? Is he coming back?" Quincy sr. asks, running a hand through his curly red hair. His skin was red, in anger, under his freckles. His eyes matched mine before he looked towards his wife.

"He went to take a walk." I announce. Sophia's attention diverts to me as I stare at our combined hands. "He's alright, he said he already knew."

"He knew? I should beat his ass for still being with her." Amanda says, ludicrously. I glance at her as she shakes her head, rubbing her temples with two fingers.

"What were you doing in there?" Stephanie questions towards Sophia. She pulls her phone out and looks down at it. She flicks her phone up as if to show them something.

"Quincy asked me to bring him something," She says softly, looking back at her phone. I look down at her phone as I see the recent notification.

'Quincy: im not in the same room as sabrina, im in da room across the hall'

Ouch.

The room gets quiet and all you can hear are the deep sighs of everybody, takin in the situation.

"That's disgusting," somebody breathes out. The room agrees in murmurs.

"How about this... fuck it." Stephanie breathes out, making it seem like it's a free for all, "If you're below the age of 18, go inside a room. Order room service, get whatever the hell you guys want. Play some games or whatever. Actually," she changes her mind quickly, "do you guys want to stay here or just go home?"

"What's the point of staying?" Sophia questions, shrugging her shoulders. I rub small circles on the back of her hand while Maya slides out of my arms.

"We were here for a wedding. Staying would be kind of pointless since there is no wedding." Chloe says.

"So nobody wants to stay?" Stephanie clarifies.

Everybody shakes their head no and Sophia's father nods. "I'm going to go find Quincy. In the meantime, listen to your mother, sister, aunt, grandma, whoever my lovely wife is to you." He says before exiting the room.

"Alright, kids go into Jesses room, I guess." Stephanie says. Maya slides out the room, making her way to Emma and Olivia, who had just exited the room. Unconsciously, my hand travels to Sophia's stomach, massaging softly.

"Hopefully nobody unpacked too much. We will just reload the car back up, go back to my house and have a movie night? It's not too late. I doubt everybody will actually sleep because it's been a rowdy night." She says, rubbing her head.

I could feel a headache coming up of my own. From the anger I felt seeing Sophia into it Sabrina, to feeling for Quincy as I followed him down the stairs.

My headache would become a migraine soon.

"I guess Ma," Jamal says, frowning. Cameron gurgles in his arms as he switches hips.

"Okay, I guess. Is that all?" She asks again.

"No." We all say. Everybody goes to leave the room, complaining about how they knew something fishy was going on. As soon as the last person leaves and the door closes, i turn towards Sophia.
