"You don't know my Dad. He's willing to do anything to make sure I'm the one who takes over his car business after college." He puts his foot up against the locker, harshly. "But guess what? I'm not fucking doing Daddy's work anymore. I told him, I'm not doing it and he just keeps pushing."
"What do you want to do other than business then?"
"Well, my Mom got me into modeling when I was about five years old and I really liked it, so I think I might do that. It's good money, and my Mom knows plenty of people that need my assistance." Not to mention looks.
"You model?" I ask, feeling slightly unsure about him not telling me. "Is it weird that I think it suits you?"
"Nah, I think it's suits me. But you know what doesn't suit me? Suits." As ironic as that sounds.
"So maybe business isn't for you, that's okay. What about Nick? Can't your father maybe take Nick into consideration?" I offer up, and he gives me a look like he already seemed to consider it.
"I thought about it, and it would be good considering he can be exposed more of the business world at a younger age, but my Dad is hooked on me. I think it's my good looks and my charm that's really making him this passionate. I mean, seriously? Who would say no to me?" He says jokingly, and I roll my eyes.
"Save the cockiness for you're birthday party, mister. I've had enough already since I've met you."
"Oh." He stands up straight. "Speaking of that, are you going? I know my Mom said she had made some phone calls about that. She said she was taking care of the party list."
"She called me a week ago, and invited me. I'm coming, so hold your fire." I give him a stern look, but turn soft soon after.
"There's no fire involved. I'm glad you're coming. Actually, that's made me feel better knowing that you will be there."
Okay, right here, right now. This made me SWOON. Is it weird that I got butterflies from that?
Because I hope to God it's not weird. To be quite honest, I've been having them a lot since he's been around. After we almost kissed, I had a feeling this friendship had been blossoming into something more, and I got scared. But now, I'm starting to welcome those unfamiliar feelings. I like them, I like them a lot.
So what if I maybe have a crush on Andrew Price? It's not like it's the end of the world. Sue me.
"I'm glad that you feel that way, because I've been looking forward to it for a long time." I gave him the most genuine smile. "By the way, I'm sure you will hate having to wear a suit tonight, but you will look good. Maybe even like a business man."
"Not fair. I'm the only one who can tease you, not the other way around!" He pokes my shoulder, and I laugh.
"Then I guess you're royally screwed Price, because you can expect a hell of a lot more of this from me."
"Oh God." He says, not realizing what he's got himself into.
"But anyways, there's a purpose for me randomly showing up at your locker." He gives me an intrigued look, which I quietly dismiss.
"First of all, happy birthday. And second, I got you this." I handed him the delicate white box, which he took from me willingly.
