"Cloud!" She screams for me even though I'm not there. Her scream sounds so much like hers. I clench my jaw and will myself not to give any reaction. My hands are gripping the rests tightly and my knuckles are white. What kind of torture is this? The man manages to kick Yuffie down and from this angle I can see her swollen stomach. Is she... Pregnant? What is happening? I'm so confused....
"Daddy!" The little girl screams, trying to scramble away from the big man. His hood falls back, revealing him to be Kadaj, and he grabs her arm. "Daddy!" Daddy... it hits something hard inside me. Is that my kid? Why am I not helping? What's happening?
Behind me Yazoo twists some knobs and hits some buttons.
"Let's make this a little more fun, shall we?"
Suddenly, it's like I'm there. I'm a little ways off, but I can see what's happening clearly. Their screams are echoing through the empty streets and I can't move. I can't speak. I can only desperately stare at them as Kadaj snaps the little girl's bones, one by one. She only looks about three. Even if this kid isn't mine, this isn't right. I can't stand it when people hurt innocent little kids. They never try to make you mad, all they want is to make you happy. And judging by the blue in her eyes, she couldn't be anyone else's.
~Sephiroth's POV~ (Sorry, had to ;))
"This is working perfectly Yazoo," I smirk at the tortured, horrified, and angered expression on Cloud's face. This is what I've been needing to do to him for years now. After everything he put me through, this is what he deserves. All I need is the back materia and Mother can come back in her full glory. Though, I'm positive I might need some old help...
"With his mind inside the scenario on the television, we could probably start preparing the mind reading machine just in case," my minion suggests.
"Yes, you do that," I chuckle. "But he might be on there for a while. I want to run him through all the deaths."
"All of them?" he frowns at the TV.
"Don't worry, they aren't quite as long as this one and his son's." I wave him off.
"It's not that, I'm concerned about his mental state," he shakes his head.
"You what?" I glare at him. He shouldn't be worried for Cloud. He's our worst enemy.
"Not like that," he reassures me with a small smile. "He might be a little too... shaken up to answer or even think correctly. Might be like he was when he left the Shinra mansion, actually."
"..." Loz looks at him blankly.
"What's a mental state?"
"You are," I roll my eyes and turn back to the smarter to the two. "I don't care. This is Cloud Strife we're talking about here, he won't die unless I will it. And I want it to be slow, and excruciatingly painful."
"Yes sir, next up we have the metal spikes to the head, and then more shock. By then Kadaj should be back in time for the beating with Loz and then we'll lock him up for the night," Yazoo lists our torments of today.
"And we have more for tomorrow?"
"He'll wish he was dead by tonight, sir," he grins evilly.
"I always knew Hojo would be of some use at one point," I chuckle darkly at the mention of my stupid father, the man who destroyed me. Of course, thanks to him, I'm able to do this today.
