Her Weakness {Newt x reader}

Don't stop running

I nod and flash my flash light in that direction.

"I'm wanting to go left. I feel like something bad is gonna happen if we go right." YN says.

I look at her and see her face pale and sickly. She glances at both of us, before turning to the left tunnel.

"I'll check out the left. You guys take the right." She says.

Thomas shakes his head, along with me.

"No. We should stay together." Thomas says.

She sighs, and nods. "Fine. But I want the flash light. I hate holding nothing."

I roll my eyes and hand her the light.

She takes it and steps to my right, away from Thomas. I glance at her, and at Thomas.

Thomas seems to be worrying about her, and continuously glances at her. She seems to just be sick.

I knew she was with the boy Newt. That was easy to see, especially since they kiss and hold hands. But I think that the Teresa girl likes Thomas too.

"Hey. Are you alright?" I whisper to her.

She looks at me, and slowly nods. "Just kinda exhausted, and kinda hungry. And a little bit sick from the smell. But other than that, I'm fine." She says.

I nod, and look back in front of us. Weird reddish vines cover the walls. And Cranks are sitting their, not moving. We hear scurrying, and YN points the light at a small pipe.

*squeak squeak*

A rat.

The rat slowly makes it way down the vines, and walks over to us. It goes for my shoes and starts to nibble on it. I kick it away, and it heads towards the the Cranks.

As it walks past, the Cranks arm shoots down. It grabs the rat, and starts eating it.

"Oh shit. We should run." YN says.

Her face gives away the fact that she wanted to throw up at the rat getting eaten. And I feel the same way.

So we turn around and start running.

Only this time, the Cranks saw us. And started to chase us.

-Minho pov-

Running.

That's all I have done.

I've run in the Maze.

And now, I'm running in the Scorch.

Seems easy right. Like I should be use to it by now.

Well their is one thing missing. And that is YN. The girl who lived in the maze, and guided me through the maze. Without her, I probably would be dead.

And so would Newt.

So we need to get YN back. And fast.

Cranks. Cranks. And more Cranks. Oh what fun it is to be with Cranks!

I turn another right, following Thomas and Brenda.

"Start climbing up here!" She yells.

I instantly start going after her. Climbing up the broken stone building. I hear the snarling and the screeching of the Cranks coming closer.

When I'm halfway up, they are starting to climb.

"Duck!" Brenda says as she throws a big rock down.

It hits a Crank in the face, killing it.

"Ohh. Nice shot!" I say.

She smiles at me. "Thanks."

I grin, and finally reach the top. We start running, more carefully,  through the broken building. The entire building was almost fully sideways. It was leaning against another building, that was thankfully strong.

I hear another screech and look over my shoulder. A Crank made it.

We start running faster, but then Brenda falls.

"Brenda!" I yell.

I look down the door, and see her laying on a glass window. I can hear the glass crack a bit, and I make my way down to her. With Thomas right behind me.

"Give me your hand!" Me and Thomas say.

I look up and see the Crank at the door. It dives down and Brenda screams. I look around and grab a broken lamp. I hit the Crank on it head, but it does nothing. The Crank bites Brenda of the ankle,  and Thomas breaks the glass.

The Crank falls, but me and Thomas grab Brenda's hands. I smile at her, and we pull her up.

"Let's get the fuck outta here." I say.

Brenda nods, and we slowly make our way back up. And then we head for Marcus.
