Their Cure {Newt x reader}

Only the beginning

"Newt. Calm down, we'll get her." Thomas says.

I glare at him through the mask but say nothing.

The door dings open and I see Ratman standing inside. Alone.

"Ah. Teresa. Your working late." He says.

I walk in behind Thomas, and Teresa follows behind me.

"Yes. I planned on visiting YN again, but I wasn't informed that she would be gone. Where is she?" Teresa asks.

"And where is Chuck?" He counters.

Teresa freezes and then relaxes. "He's at home, my neighbor is watching him." She says.

"I wish you had informed me that you were taking him. We never told you to do so." He replys.

Teresa sighs. "YN asked me to take him out with me. She didn't want him to be here all the time."
Ratman nods.

Then it was silent.

"Teresa. I need to tell you something. It's Thomas. He's here."

Us three go ridged, and I look at Thomas.

"He's been spotted outside the city. I just wanted to tell you that, he's coming. And he's going to try and win you over." Ratman continues.

I let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"Don't worry. I will always believe in our cause. We're finding a cure, they are trying to stop us. I won't let them turn me." She replys

The door dings open again, and we walk out. I don't turn back to look at him, but I can tell that Thomas did something.

-Your pov-

"What the mother shucking fuck!!" I scream.

I'm back. In the maze. Running for my life.

What am I running from?

Well, for one. Grievers.

And two. Cranks.

And three. The entire Glade.

Let me explain.

I woke up inside the Glade, specifically inside the box. I had crawled out, and saw the Glade covered in Griever slime and black blood.

I saw Newt, Chuck (not my son), Alby, Ben, and my Brother Alex.

Newt, and Alex were covered in black veins. Black blood dripping from their mouths.

Alby, and Ben were covered in Griever slime. And normal red blood.

And Chuck..... he was covered in blood.

I had walked over to them, only for them to run at me. And with Newt and Alex snapping their jaws open and closed. I could easily tell that they wanted me dead.

So I ran, into the maze. Where there were Grievers and Cranks waiting for me.

Now, I'm still running from them. But, I was running out of energy.

I turned another corner, and came to a dead end.

"Shuck." I whisper.

I look at the walls and see them bare. Not a vine in sight.

I hear screeching of both Grievers and Cranks. And I clasp against the wall, waiting for them to turn the corner.

I see a Griever leg, and a normal leg. And Bob and Newt appear.

Tears fall from my eyes, and my body shakes with each sob. They ran at me as the others began to turn the corner.

"Newt..... I love you." I sob as he gets clpser and closer.

I suddenly feel my energy leave me, and it all goes black. With Newt's Crank face the last thing I see.

-No one's pov-

"Go and test this tube. It's a more advanced nightmare, so more adrenaline was used." A male doctor said as he handed a small test tube of blood to a nurse.

"Yes doctor." The nurse said before she walked away.

The doctor looked back at YN, who was tied up in a chair. He sighed and looked at another doctor.

"Use more cranks. Possibly using her love for the subjects as a way to scare her more. Turn them to cranks, and give her a gun. See what she will do with it." He says.

The doctor nods before turning to a computer and typing on the keyboard.

YN's body stiffens again, and twitches.

"No no no. Noooooo! Newt! Stoooop! Your killing him! Stoooop it! Neeeewt!"
