Doubts

"Hey" I said with a smile as I leant back against the couch. I looked over at Madi and Michael. She was hugging him tightly and I smiled.

"What's with the hug?" Michael asked.

"It's called affection mother fucker, enjoy it" She said and Michael started to laugh before he pressed his lips to her forehead.

"Such weirdos" Ash said and I nodded with a laugh. "I can't believe you and Luke are having kids" He said and I nodded.

"Crazy aye?" I smiled and he nodded.

"I am proud of you two. You went through so much and managed to maintain a relationship for the majority of it" He said and we both laughed.

"I guess it was just meant to be" I said with a smile as I watched my husband walk into the room with a plate of sandwhiches.

"Who's up for some vegemite sandwhiches?" Luke asked and I frowned. Ever since I fell pregnant, I haven't been able to stand Vegemite. I usually love it but at the moment I can't stand it. "Liv, I made you peanut butter" Luke smiled as he passed me a plate. I smiled when I saw two sandwhiches.

"Thank you" I smiled up at him.

"I also got you this" He said as he passed me a jar of pickles as he sat down next to me.

"I love you so much" I said with a serious face before pressing my lips to his.

"Fuck!" Luke said loudly as he attempted to put together the first cot for the kids. "This is bullshit" He said and I laughed.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I placed my hand on one of his shoulders.

"This isn't working" He groaned as he leant back against the couch and looked at me. "That bit won't go with that bit even though it's meant to" He complained as he pointed at the bits of the unassembled cot.

"Have you got them the wrong way around?" I questioned as I tried to hide my smile.

"I'm not an idiot Li- Wait, never mind" He said as he leant forward and flipped one of the pieces around.

"See, this is why people don't drop out of school" I said and he turned to me with a half smile.

"Really? Are we really going there?" He questioned and I laughed.

"I'm just joking" I said and he laughed before he grabbed my hand and pressed a kiss to my knuckles. He continued working on assembling the cots as I watched because I couldn't help. Well, I could help but he wasn't letting me. Once the first one was done he stood there looking proud of himself. "Good job baby" I said with a smile and he turned to me.

"I think so" He said before leaning down and pecking his lips to mine. "Now to the next one." He said before assembling the second cot. Once he was done we (By we, I mean he) and arranged the room. We put one of white cots on the same wall the door was on because the other one would be in our room until we are comfortable putting them in this room. Luke set up a few floating shelves on the sky blue wall. We decided that we would fill it with things when they actually arrived.

Luke and I piled all of the uni-sex clothes we had gotten into the white draws on the opposite wall to the blue one. We then set up the change table next to the set of draws. This room was actually quite large. It didn't really seem that big before we put a fresh lot of paint on the walls and dressed the room up.

"It looks really good" I said to Luke as I laid my head on his shoulder. "Good job baby" I smiled up at him and he pressed his lips to mine.

"I love you" Luke whispered when he pulled away. I smiled at him and he grinned back.
