"Was that from the fall?" The boy asked, and I shook my head.
The boy looked concerned, but he could tell I didn't want to talk about it.
"I'm Steve by the way." Steve extended his hand, and I took it, giving it's light shake.
"Tony." I said.
"Do you want to stay at my place? I have an extra room." Steve said, sort of stumbling on his words.
"Sure." I said, following him down the street.
Nobody's POV
Steve walked down the street, following his normal route to his house. Only this time, he had the most beautiful boy with him.
Steve knew his feelings were wrong. He had realized it when he began to have feelings for his best friend Bucky, but when he told someone, they told him it was wrong, it was a sin, and Steve never talked about to ever again.
But Tony, Tony was so beautiful. Steve prayed that Tony wouldn't hate him, Steve wanted Tony so bad. But he knew it was wrong.
Tony kept his head down the whole walk, not wanting Steve to see the growing blush on his cheeks, or the bright red mark from Howard's hands.
They arrived at Steve's house, and Tony walked in. It was small, and quite silent. Like nobody lived there.
"You live alone?" Tony asked, and Steve became oddly shy.
"Yeah, um, my mother, she died, and my dad, well, nobody knows what happened to him." Steve whispered, and Tony laid a hand on Steve's shoulders, squeezing slightly.
"Hey, it's ok." Tony said, sitting Steve down on the couch.
"Well, you got me to talk, you need to talk now." Steve said, and Tony looked down at the floor.
"Um, I-I..." Tony stuttered, and Steve tilted his chin up.
"The mark, did one of your parents..." Steve began, and Tony nodded, tears welling in his eyes.
"My-my father..." Tony choked out, tears falling.
Steve wrapped his arms around Tony hesitantly, smiling slightly when Tony leaned into his touch.
Tony cried into Steve's shoulder, sobbing as Steve comforted him.
"Hey, it'll be ok, do you want to stay here tonight?" Steve whispered.
"Mhm..." Tony nodded weakly, and Steve held onto him tighter.
Steve showed Tony to the guest room, laying out blankets and a spare T-shirt for him.
"Thank you Steve, for everything." Tony mumbled, hugging Steve tightly.
"No problem, I'll always be here for you." Steve said, hugging back.

(Time skip)Tony walked down the street. It was morning, and he had left after eating a small breakfast at Steve's.
Tony knew what he would have to face when he got home. His mother was probably worried sick, and Howard, Howard would definitely be pissed off.
Tony opened the front door quietly, it making a small creak as he stepped inside.
"Where the fuck have you been!" A loud booming voice echoed throughout the hall.
Shit.
Tony winced at the sound, coming face to face with Howard, who was, sober at least.
"Sorry Sir, I-I just wanted to be somewhere else last night." Tony stuttered, and Howard glared at him.
"Fine. I found a candidate for our super soldier project." Howard said, spinning on his heel and heading towards his workshop.
Tony followed, and Howard pulled out a file, opening it and moving papers around. Howard held up a photo, and Tony felt butterflies in his stomach.
Steve.
"Steven Grant Rogers. 5'4 and 95 pounds. He wants to participate. He volunteered, and I picked him."
Tony felt a pit of dread in his stomach. He knew the possible side effects, he knew the dangers, the risks, and even thought he just met Steve, he already cared so much for him.
"Are you sure he's fit enough for this?" Tony asked, voice wobbly.
"100%. We're doing the procedure tomorrow afternoon." Howard looked so proud of himself. Tony only nodded slightly and walked out of the workshop, into his bedroom.
He sat on the bed, head in his hands.
Will Steve be ok? Will he survive? Why do I care so much? Please, he has to live. He has to be alright.

(Time Skip)
Steve walked into a laboratory, filled with machines. Howard Stark walked over to him, shaking Steve's hand.
"Hello, Mr Stark, it's an honour to meet you." Steve grinned. He admired this man. Little did he know.
"The honour is all mine. I'd like you to meet my son." Howard said, waving someone over. The boy stepped into the light, a grim look on his face.
"Tony?!" Steve was stunned, and then something clicked.
Oh my god.
Howard was the one who hurt Tony.
All of the respect Steve had for Howard Stark evaporated. Steve looked at Tony in shock, feeling the heat rise to his cheeks. Tony looked at him with such sadness it almost made Steve run up to him and pull him into a hug. But he couldn't. Not here.
"Ready Rogers?" Howard asked, guiding Steve to the big machine.
"Ready as I'll ever be." Steve said, trying to hide his disgust for this man. The man who hurt Tony.
Tony watched as Steve was injected with penicillin, and the machine's big metal doors closed around him.
Howard started the machine up, and a bright light blinded everyone in the room. A faint yell came from inside, which escalated into a scream.
"Stop! Stop the machine! It's going to kill him!" Tony yelled over the loud noises.
Howard began to lower the power, and the light dimmed slightly.
"No! I can take it!" Steve's voice was strained and laced with pain as he yelled from inside the machine.
Howard began to turn the dial back up again, and Steve groaned in extreme pain.
Tony clutched the table beside him, barely holding himself up.
"Come on Steve, Come on." Tony whispered to himself when Steve fell silent.
Howard yelled something inaudible, and the machine stopped, lowering back to the ground and opening the doors with a swish of air.
Tony rushed forward, waiting for Steve to walk out.
Steve was laying down in the metal machine. His shirt had ripped, and he grew at least a foot. His muscles were perfectly balanced on his golden tanned body. He was perfect. He was a super soldier.
Tony felt the air leave his lungs.
God he is so hot.
Steve stumbled toward, falling forward. Tony jumped up and caught him.
Steve looked up at Tony, hazel pools meeting baby blue.
Steve's stomach was fluttering, and Tony couldn't breathe.
"We did it!" Howard yelled, slapping Steve on the shoulder, making them both wince.
"I did it." Howard said, staring in amazement at Steve.
"You did it Steve." Tony whispered, and Steve smiled, blush creeping up his cheeks.
"So did you." Steve replied.
