Start from the beginning

"What?" you ask, confused.

"You know, he told you he was in a gang with them, their fathers used to work in the business, they've been in hiding, all of which are a lie." he says, his smile to wide it's frightening.

You look at Jimin, who is now looking at you, his head slightly shaking, his eyes sad.

"Ah, I see." Jay notices the way you're looking at each other, "So, he did make up something for his girl."

"Jay." Jimin almost says in a warning.

"Jimin, lay loose, have some fun, come on, tell her the truth." he says and begins to walk towards him, finally leaving your side.

You are using every cell and tissue in you to not cry, scream, or panic. Your body shivers when Jay is right by him.

Jimin, who is almost unrecognizable because of the state he is in, he's gotten skinnier, one side of his face is swollen, the other purple and it looks like any ounce of soul that was left in him was sucked out.

Jay smacks Jimin on the back, making him wince,  and you curl your fingers at the sound of him in pain.

Jay bends down so that his lips are by Jimin's ear he looks straight at you as he tells him, "Love has no secrets, isn't that what they say?"

When he says that, Jimin very weakly lifts his head to look at you, and you notice the reflection of a single tear fall down his cheek and your body heats up.

"I don't care about the truth." you look at Jay.

You need to learn to accept then seven of them as they are. You may not ever be able to look at them the same, they're murderers, they're criminals, felons, and just bad, bad people.

But they're bad people that you fell in love with. You fell in love with what they were. With what you thought they were. Maybe if you connected the dots that you ignored earlier you wouldn't have cared as much. You wouldn't have known them as well as you do. But you didn't. You stayed. You kept them around.

This was the price.

Being trapped. You don't know how to walk away from them because it hurts you being so far. You don't know how to fall out of love with them, especially Jimin.

Maybe there's no future for you with them, how could you possibly? But you'll do anything, anything, to make sure they walk out alive.

You don't care about the lies anymore. It's a given, there's going to be layers and layers of lies. They're criminals.

"Oh? You don't." Jay smirks.

You shake your head.

"See, you may think you don't. But he's not the victim he makes himself out to be. What was it? Farmers? They are sons of rich farmers? That's what they told you?" he walks around proudly.

"How do you know that?" Jimin says.

"How many women have you done this to?" he says, and you're blood goes cold.

"What?" you say, your voice so low you didn't even realize.

You see realization in Jimin's eyes, and he looks at Jay, "Wait." but he stops him, clicking his tongue.

"No, no. No more waiting, Jimin. I'm bored, I have lives to take." Jay comes over to you and you suddenly get wary, your heart begins to pump, and your head begins to overthink.

He kneels down beside you, looking at Jimin while you look at him, scared he'll touch you.

Jay points as he speaks, "You probably think you're so special? They chose you for shelter? They became soft for you? You're not even close to being the first." Jay says with a sorry voice, but there is nothing but pleasure on his face.

You look at Jimin now, all your efforts of holding back tears gone as you realize where he's going with all of this.

"They've been doing this their whole lives, they're not amateurs. You're just one of the steps in their plan. Took me years to figure it out, but I did. This is how it works; Jungkook, not eighteen, he's twenty-four. He isn't only best friends with you, he has many other women like you. They make fake documents, a fake life of reports and certificates. He goes to these schools to collect women like you. Once they need them, they use them. I guess you weren't needed til later, you've been friends with him for a while. That's too fucking bad." he stands up from besides you and starts laughing.

"How fucking stupid did you think I was, Jimin?!" he yells.

"What do they need me for?" you ask, you and Jimin not taking your eyes off each other.

"We use you as bait." Jimin surprise you and Jay by responding, "We trick you into trusting us so that you become vulnerable. So we can use your weaknesses against you, to manipulate you into doing small jobs. Then we force you to do the bigger ones. Attract business deals, customers. Then we..." he stops, but jay doesn't let him get away.

"Kill them? That's until one got away. You didn't do anything about it but I found her, I made her tell me it all. That's how you're making so much money, growing your business, dominating the market."

You can't hold it in anymore, and you begin to weep.

"Oh, no, no, no. Don't cry. It's okay." Jay runs over to you and grabs your face, not hard, but not graciously either, and wipes your tears away and you do nothing to stop it. You're in too much pain.

Lie.

Lie.

Lie.

Lies.

But this, this is not a lie.

This is betrayal.

This is being used.

"Don't touch her." Jimin says between his teeth.

"Oh?" Jay says and starts pecking your cheeks and you don't do anything, you just cry, cry, cry.

"Y/N, hey! Look at me!" he yells but you can't, because you'll shatter.

You can't think.

"Jay, fucking stop!"

You don't even know what he's doing to you, you can't feel it, you're numb. Utterly and completely numb.

You suddenly hear a familiar pop noise, one that's now too familiar, and hear the thud of a body fall.

"Oh, looks like our time was cut short. See you soon." Jay kisses you one last time before he runs, yelling to one of the men who missed a bullet to go.
