Then like a great rush of water, memories came back to me.

Law and... Ace.

Bitter. Unforgiving. Pain. That's what I felt.

On one hand there was a guy who didn't give a shit about me and dumped me right after he lost all interest. And on the other there was him... The guy I always had a crush on. Frankly...I admired everything about him...His partial goofiness and his strange quirk for frequently falling asleep in any given situation.

But he wasn't like that when he approached me.

His voice was soft. But the words were the ones that stung me.

It was a lost hope for me. Ace had never seen me as a girl. From the first day my foot stepped Whitebeard's house I was tagged as a boy. And that title unfortunately still remained.

After our first encounter, I endured all the insults and struggled to make myself look more presentable. From wearing pink clothes, tying my hair into ponytails to acting all nice...And when I received some gazes from him, I felt utterly happy.

But now...I was just lost and confused.

The trap in me sprang shut. I was caught between opposing needs. The need to face him and confess. And the need to leave him.

Then I started to vividly remember further. His smile. His voice.

Unaware of my ow heart beating, I finally calmed myself down, but sadly that meant one missed lunch.

Which inspired me to give Luffy hell, satisfying the urge for payback.

Walking down the hall, I calculated the time I knew Luffy would pass the corridor. But part of me wanted to check so my plans would spoil, so I went to great lengths to even message Nami for help.

Not minding the fact that I could have already left an hour ago, I hid behind the queue of lockers.

Tackling him to the floor and taking his collection of stacked meat in his backpack was certainly an award winning first-step prank.

Counting down the steps that were approaching me, I tried not to be too obvious.

I quickly jumped from my place and widened my arms to catch the raven off guard, grasping his upper body, just like an anaconda.

My arms placed themselves around the firm torso, head hiding in the hard chest. I accidentally breathed in his scent which was nothing like Luffy' s normal one. The normal one reminded me of mint and slight meat odor.

I fact, this smell was so much more exotic. The slightly used cologne mixed with a hint of fresh fragrance. My brain stuttered for a moment and my eyes immediately opened in surprise.

But before I could even utter anything, we both fell upon the floor, with me in his arms.

"Are you ok?" He asked the question smoothly, the raspy of his voice reverberating, but nevertheless concern creeping to his tone.
