Chapter 7: Call of silence

"While I was studying the pattern, another energy reading popped up and I believe it is for an Energon signature not too far way from where my relic is located." The White Dragon Femme explains.

"Thank you for telling us, I had no idea there was another up there, I was so absorbed into what you were trying to figure out." Ratchet thanked her.

"No problem." Blaze simply told him.

(Flashback end)

After that the groups were chosen and were sent through the ground bridge.

When they got there, all four split up into groups of two: Blaze and Smokescreen to look for Blaze's relic and Arcee and Bulkhead to search for the Energon.

Aboard the Nemesis however...

"Soundwave...what did you find this time?" Megatron asked the silent Mech.

Soundwave then shows the Decepticon leader the massive energy signature that appeared on radar.

"Impressive... I've never seen such power before. What do you think it is?" He asks the Purple Mech in front of him and then grins now more than intrigued and commands Soundwave to activate a ground bridge to the place that both him and Soundwave will go together to see about the mysterious energy source.

Back with Blaze and the others....

Blaze's POV:

Sometime after splitting up, I begin to sense the familiar energy of my relic that was brought to my attention back at base,

'It's close, the energy I've been sensing since we got in the area has gotten stronger.' I say standing still, preparing to use the bond between myself and my relic to locate it.

"Can you tell me what the relic is? You seem to know what it is already." Smokescreen asks me clearly getting a little impatient, helping me look for my relic.

'Patience Smokey, I'll tell you when we find it.' I answer him.

"Fine. Say what are you doing anyway? It feels like I'm the only one searching here..." My best friend deadpans and I crack a tiny grin slightly amused.

' I am searching, just in my own way.' I say and he stops looking and glances back at me with an optic ridge raised in question.

'The relic we are searching for, I happen to have a peculiar bond with it. So I am trying to locate it through that bond.' I explain.

"Oh. What is it that bonds you and this relic together?" He then asks me and I give him a mischievous look.

"That expression looks like you're not telling me anytime soon....are you?" Smokescreen inquires yet again.

'Like I said before, I'll tell you everything I can about my relic when we find it.' I say.

"Which also means you are going to leave things out?" Smokey asks continuing to grill me clearly not enjoying the fact that not everything will be told right away.

'Yes, it's for the best. Not even the others will be told more than what I will be telling you, (Optimus being the exception for obvious reasons) so you don't have to worry about that.' I told him.

3rd POV:

Several minutes after they stopped conversing, the Dragon Femme finally locates her relic. Walking over to the section she found the energy coming from, Blaze goes about digging it up, alerting Smokey that she have found it.

"Thanks for letting me know you found it.." Smokescreen said not too happy about not being told right away.

"I apologize, as soon as I found the location I sensed it coming from I was drawn to it and momentarily forgot you were helping me find it." Blaze admitted truthfully feeling a bit bad she was overly consumed by the pull of the relic's bond to her.
