Sixty-one - I'm not going anywhere ?

Tyler, Jabari, Max, Cole and Josh take a seat next to Zack.

Wait Josh?

I forgot that Zack told me he got out, I've never gotten the chance to thank him.

"Zack seems fine to me" Emma states and I agree.

"He's much better now but he has to put on a good show for the other members, I mean he's their leader after all" Alex says.

"What?" I say much louder than I intended to.

"Yeah, it's official" She continues and Emma elbows her and she finally caught on. "Or probably not, I'm not sure" She lies.

I look at where Zack is sitting, staring at him. Why would he do this?

"Ashley Just don't worry about it" Emma says and I turn to watch her.

"I can't just watch as he destroys himself Emma" I state before turning to watch him.

His head is turned to me, as he stares at me with an angry expression.

"Oh no, he saw me" I them and I could still feel his eyes on me.

I look to him and I see that Olivia, Tyler, Jabari, Cole, Max and Josh are also watching me.

"Just great" I mutter under my breath.

The preacher steps to the podium and they turns away from me, except Josh.

We hold eye contact for a few minutes before I look away.

That was weird.

Zack's POV

"Yeah, thank you for coming" Olivia gives another fake smile to another stranger and move on to the next.

The funeral was short, apparently this church doesn't take kindly celebrating the life of an ex gang leader. Or any church for that matter.

Many people may not know for sure but they have their accusations.

"Can we go now?" I ask her.

"Can you at least try to act nice" She scolds.

"Hell no" I huff.

"If some random person comes up to me one more time and say your father was a good man I'll shoot them" I state and she laughs.

"Just try to get through this, it's over anyway" She says and I nod.

"Olivia and Zack" Maria calls us and Olivia gags.

"Be nice" I tease and she rolls her eyes.

Olivia has never been fond of Maria, she always called her a gold digging whore who didn't give a damn about our father. I on the other hand has seen Maria pick up for me and even took care of me when I was bruised up, and for that I respect her.

"Yes Maria" She answered harshly and Maria tried to pretend like she didn't notice but I know she did.

"This is my sister and nephew" Maria smiled.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both, Maria has said so many nice things" The woman smiled.

"Did she? I wish I could say the same" Olivia replied cold.

"Alright let's go on the other side" I pull her away from the three.

"I've never liked her" She said.

"We know" I reply and I turn and see Ashley talking to Emma and Alex. "I'll be right back" I state.

"Ashley" I say, trying to calm myself.
