And so we meet again

Start from the beginning

One item kept going back and forth between them. That was likely the cause of the disturbance, you concluded. You didn't see how it could be anything else.

A small part of you cheered the femme on, despite the questionable look in her magenta optics. Unfortunately, neither of them gave you Autobot vibes. The femme had Maleficent horns, which probably didn't mean anything good.

Though it was difficult, you could tell that the insignias they wore were the same, and not the one Arcee had on her winglet. Decepticons then. Infighting maybe, you guessed, or maybe one was rogue.

Your gaze swept over the top of the mesa, where you spotted two more bots. Arcee was there! You wondered who the mech with her was. Their weapons were out, the green mech had a round hammer and Arcee had her blasters.

"Arcee! How nice of you to join us. I see you've brought me a new partner to snuff!" The spider-like femme stopped fighting to chat.

"That one would be Bulkhead," the bulky blue mech informed her quietly, steadying himself on his pedes.

"Who asked you?" It wasn't much of a question as it was a retort.

The two-wheeler mumbled something to her partner. He offered a hand, which she stepped on, and launched her off their high ground. Letting out her battle cry, the small femme rapid fired in the air as she dove towards the ground. She made a graceful landing on her pedes.

You would've whistled at it, but you didn't want to give away your hiding spot. You weren't even quite sure if you should show yourself.

Arcee switched to blades at the sides of her arms. The femmes battled each other and the mechs battled each other. Both pairs gave you rivalry vibes. You put that down in your list of topics to discuss later on.

At one point, the Bots managed to yeet the spider femme at her fellow Decepticon, knocking the two down. The lay and sat side-by-side, groaning in pain against the wall of rocks and boulders.

It was too late when you spotted the item. Breakdown grabbed it as he stood, politely saying, "Thank you," and activating the relic.

"Do you even know what that is?" The femme Con growled. "It isn't a toy!"

Shaking her head, she hurriedly stalked away on her eight, thin legs. Arcee wasn't too fond of letting her get away, and shot as she ran after her enemy. She shot down the tunnel that the other femme created by using her legs as drills to make an escape route.

It was close enough to your hiding spot to make you paranoid. You stopped peaking out from behind the wall and put your back to it. Suddenly, a force tugged at you from behind. You knew immediately that it was from the relic and thanked yourself for hiding. The force tried to pull you towards it, and by the sounds of the bots nearby, you figured it was probably doing the same to them.

   Finally, it stopped.

You slumped to the ground unprepared. You quickly—and a bit clumsily—got back on your heeled pedes, and peeked past the wall to see what was up.

Breakdown was gone. It was just that Bulkhead mech groaning in pain, laying in a slant in the fallen wall of rocks and boulders. A human girl stood on a rock by his chassis and complained that her phone was stuck to him. The mech groaned again and sat up slowly.

You figured now was a good time to reveal yourself.

"Hey!" You shouted, waving a servo. "Doin' alright?!"

Bulkhead immediately aimed a blaster at you. You raised your servos in innocence. His faceplates contorted into confusion, while the Asian girl's turned into surprise and excitement.

"Wait, are you that neutral that Arcee met?" He asked, optics widening in realization. You nodded.

"Yep! Speakin' o' which, wasn't she just 'ere a minute ago?"

"I'm right behind you," said Arcee's deadpan voice. She interrupted Miko, who'd been about to spew out all the questions for you that'd popped into her mind.

Bulkhead stood up. "Where?"

"Let's just say, she's got your back," Miko commented, looking unsure as she looked at his backstruts. You raised an optic ridge.

Bulkhead turned and jostled around, revealing Arcee to be stuck to him. Their backs were glued to each other.

"Arcee?" The femme looked over at you.

"Y/N? What are you doing here?" She was just as surprised to see you.

"Same as the rest o' ya! There was a magnetic disturbance detected and I went to check it out," you explained with a shrug.

Arcee was right, Bulkhead thought, they are nonchalant about everything.

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god-" Miko repeated excitedly. She was practically vibrating in her boots.

"I'm assuming your Miko," you guessed.

"They know my name!" The girl cheered.

"Nice to meet you too, Bulk, though I wish it'd been under different circumstances." You nodded towards him with your servos on your hips.

"Yeah, likewise," the Wrecker chuckled.

"Great timing," Arcee sassed.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't get here that long ago, and I was trying to not get sucked over by that thingamabob y'all were after."

"Whatever. Let's call up Ratchet. Maybe he can do something about this."
