"Oh, I'm sorry." I said as I walked out of the building and bumped into someone. Looking back at the person I gasped and my blood ran cold. Our eyes locked and a devilish smirk appeared on their face. "J-Jason?" His smirk grew wider before he chuckled and turned around, vanishing before my eyes.
My eyes were still locked on the place where Jason stood, never leaving. "Y/N? I thought you left." The sound of Mitch's voice snapped me out of my trance, leaving me to think it was all a daydream. "I could say the same about you, Rapp." I said looking over to him. "You okay?" "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" "Well, you were just looking at that one spot of a while." "Rapp, where you watching me?" I asked with a cheeky smirk. "W-what? No, I wasn't." Mitch said he as his cheeks turned a light shade of red. "Okay Rapp, whatever you say." I said with a chuckle, Mitch joining in to. "Hey, do you wanna head back to my place for a drink?" He said, his eyes glued to mine drawing me in. "Umm, I would love to." "Great, just follow me in your car." He said with a smile that melted my heart.
Mitch's house
"Here you go." Mitch said passing me a glass of wine as we sat down on his couch. "Y'know, I'm really sorry to hear about your fiancé." "It's okay Y/N, really. And I'm terribly sorry to hear about you losing your child. That must have been heartbreaking." "Yeah...I guess we're all a little fucked up, huh?" "We are indeed." Mitch said as we clinked our glasses together.
I took a sip and sighed. I looked over to Mitch and saw him already looking at me. "What? Do I have something on my face." I asked, chuckling. "You're beautiful." He whispered but I heard anyways. We looked each other, never tearing our eyes away. Slowly the gap between us was closing and before I knew it Mitch's soft, pink lips were on mine. It felt like kissing a cloud. They were so soft and he was so delicate. We tore apart when we needed to breath and just let our foreheads touch. "Shall we take this to the bedroom?" Mitch questioned while my heart skipped a beat. "Yes please." I said practically moaning. Mitch took my glass and his and put them on the table. He lifted me up while my legs wrapped around his waist.
This was going to be a long and fun night.
The next day
I woke up to my phone blearing off. I turned around, picking it up and reading the caller the ID seeing it was Irene.
Phone call
Y/N Irene"Hello?"
"Y/N, I have a mission for you. Go pack your bags."
"Wait, what mission? Why are you speaking so fast?"
"This is a very important mission Y/N...Stan's beens taken."
"I'm getting ready now."I said before hanging up and jumping out of bed. Stan meant a lot to me. He was always like a father. I don't know what I would do without him.
I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote to Mitch, not wanting to wake him up.
'Thanks for last night Mitch. I loved every second on it. Sorry I had to leave so early. Irene called. Text me later.
-Love Y/N xx'
After getting home and packing I got a message from Irene saying a car was coming to pick me up and take to to the airport. Also that Mitch was coming too. It must be serious if they're sending in Mitch as well.
"Hey Mitch, sorry for leaving early this morning. I just need to leave and get ready. Stan means a lot to me an-" "Y/N." Mitch said softly cutting me off. "It's okay, I read your letter and I understand. You've known Mitch for ages. I get it." He added on with a smile that made me feel okay.
"Alright Y/N, Mitch. Stan is the basement. Move in carefully. And do NOT get caught. If you are, the mission will be a fail. And remember, don't let it get personal." Irene said from the ear piece me and Mitch both wore. "Okay." I responded looking back at him before moving forward. "1...2...3."Mitch mouthed before opening the door and moving inside. We moved over to the basement door, me now leading. I opened the door and mentally thanked god that it didn't creak.
Walking down the stairs my heart thumped in my chest. "Alright Stan! I'm going to ask you one more time! Where is Y/N!" An all to familiar voice called out. "I'm gonna tell you one more time, I don't know." "Oh bullshit. I saw her leave to same building as you yesterday. We actually bumped into each and let me tell you, she's aged well. Still the beauty I know." Jason said winding Stan up and it was working. "Y/N? How does he know your name?" Mitch whispered and just as I was about to answer Jason spoke again. "Alright, the old guy isn't going to tell us anything. Marcus...shot him." A man raised his gun and got into a steady position. "No!" I screamed raising my gun instead and shooting this Marcus guy right where he stood.
I jumped down the rest of the stairs. Jason's guys getting ready to shoot me before he stopped them. "Hey, hey guys. Don't shoot this one. She's mine. How have you been Y/N? It's been ages since we've seen each other. When did we last see each other? Oh yes, in the court room when you divorced me and broke my heart." "What? Like my heart broke when my child died?" "OUR CHILD Y/N!...Our child." Jason shouted losing his temper. "Let Stan go...now." "And why would I do that?" "Because...I'll do anything you want if you do." "Y/N no, do not do that." I heard Irene say in the earpiece. "Oh really? Well then...join me. Let's be together again, babe." Jason said giving me a smirk that use to make my heart beat faster but now made me sick to my stomach. "...Okay." "Perfect." He said coming closer.
"Mitch! Now!" I yelled making me Mitch shoot all Jason's men while I re-lifted my gun to face Jason. "Oh, well played Y/N. Really, well done." He said chuckle until it suddenly stopped. "But you won't kill me." "What?" I questioned. "You won't kill me. You can't kill me. I remind you too much of her. That's why you left me in the first place. I reminded you to much of our daughter that died." "Shut up." I yelled. "Why? Cause you know I'm telling the truth. How I remind you of our dead daughter!" "Argh!!" I yelled firing my gun 4 times. Each bullet hitting Jason in the chest.
He collapsed on the floor, his blood already flowing out of him. "Stan." I whispered running over to him and tearing off the duck tape that kept him tied down. Once he was up I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a tight hug, not wanting to let go anytime soon. "Hey, it's okay Y/N, I'm here." "When Irene called I thought I lost you." "Ha, you could never lose me." Stan said letting go and placing a kiss on my head in a fatherly way. I saw Mitch watching us from over near the steps and that made me even better.
Everything was going to be okay.
1 month later
"Is the test ready? Has it finished? Is it done?" Mitch questioned me and I held the pregnancy test in my hand. I looked at it, pure joy flooding through my veins. "I'm pregnant." "Oh my god!" He yelled smiling while lifting me up and spinning me around. "This is amazing." "Whats amazing?" I heard Stan's voice enter the room while Mitch put me down.
"Umm, Stan...I'm...I'm pregnant." "Really? Who's the father? Is he good, I swear to go if he isn't, I'll kill him." "He's good Stan." I said chuckling. "It's Mitch." I said smiling as Mitch put a protective arm around my shoulder while he smiled. "Well, I suppose you could do worse. How long are you?" "Umm, we think a month." "A month? Wait, me being taken happened a month ago. Did you go on the mission while being pregnant? Y/N why did you do that. If something had happened I could I have lost you and the baby!" Stan yelled, his mood totally changing. "Stan, I only found out now!" I yelled, pain clearly shown on my face as Stan's softened. "...You're right Y/N. I'm...i'm sorry. It's just, I couldn't lose you and I definitely couldn't lose you and your child." "I know. I get it. Wouldn't want you to lose your grandchild." "M-my grandchild?" "Why of course Stan. You're like my dad so you're the baby's grandfather." Stan smiled pulling me and Mitch in to a big hug.
My family.
