Aami was curled up at your side, hugging you. She had pulled her attention away from the small tv screen to look over at the commotion. You blocked her vision with a servo and turned her helm away.
"What happened?!" You asked, hoping for a quick and helpful answer.
"Questions can come later!" Ratchet announced. That was certainly quick. Too bad it wasn't the latter.
You stopped what you were doing with Sam. She gave you a miffed look, before directing one of concern towards Arcee. Jack had paused the movie to focus on what was going on. Rafael shut the tv off. You rubbed her sky blue helm soothingly.
Bumblebee carefully leaned her on a machine, putting her arms on the arm rests. An emerging blue light glowed from where she leaned onto. Her helm hung like a rag doll. You moved to the edge of the berth to watch as Ratchet shone a light at her optics.
"C'mon, thats it. Just follow the light . . ." He murmured.
Arcee blinked a few times as her optics adjusted. "Wait, what?!" She said as Ratchet's words caught up with her. You snickered. She gave you a 'really?' look before rubbing her helm and stepping out of the machine. "Not the best choice of words, Ratchet."
"Feeling okay?" You spoke up, looking to her with worry.
"Yeah, are you alright?" Jack chimed in.
"I'm fine," the two-wheeler answered, pausing with uncertainty, "except for being blindsided by Optimus."
"Didn't I tell you?" Agent Fowler passed.
"Impossible," Ratchet scoffed.
"I'm only reporting what I saw," Arcee said.
"Why would Optimus try to blindside Agent Fowler?" Jack questioned from the human area.
"Maybe he believes he's a Decepticon all over again!" Raf suggested fearfully.
"Or maybe he's been faking being a good guy this whole time!" Miko said.
"Maybe he has an evil doppleganger," your daughter tried. You shrugged in response.
"If Prime has gone off the rails, for any reason, we have a serious problem on our hands!" The government Agent announced.
"The Prime really doesn't seem like the type to harm people without good reason, 'specially humans," you added, "but, I dunno. Y'all have known 'im a lot longer."
Ratchet scoffed once more. "This is absurd! A quick check for Optimus' signal will reveal that he was nowhere near the location of tonight's incident." He walked ober to the computers and began tapping on his keyboard. "In fact, he's just returning right now."
The peterbuilt truck pulled into the base right on time. You pulled Aami closer, holding her body against yours just in case you needed to protect her. You were sure this hadn't been done by the Prime, but he didn't have much evidence for his case yet.
The truck transformed. The only sound was that of the Autobot leader's heavy pedesteps. He stopped in the middle of the room, sensing the tense atmosphere.
"Is something wrong?" He asked.
"We were just-," Arcee paused and looked to Bulkhead before continuing, "-wondering where you've been."
"We haven't been able to reach you," Bulkhead informed him.
"I have been outside of our communication range-," Optimus explained, turning aroynd somewhat to take something out. Assuming the worst, Arcee, Bee and Bulk took out their blasters. The Prime pulled out an energon crystal, waving a servo to calm them down, finsihing with, "-in a subterranean energon deposit."
