Ch 12 The Calm Before a Storm

Y/N: I'll start heading there now.

He hangs up saying his goodbyes to Team RWBY. While they prepare for their upcoming match that's in the next couple of days Y/N goes to meet with Ozpin. After arriving to Beacon he goes up the elevator seeing Ozpin and Qrow.

Ozpin: Thanks for arriving so soon Y/N. I know your stay here on Remnant hasn't been long but have you heard of the tales of the seasons?

Y/N: Between Beacon and the missions I went through no I haven't? What might this have to do with our meeting?

Ozpin: Story goes that a callous old man, who refuses to leave his home, is visited by four traveling sisters. The first understands his reclusive nature and urges him to use his time in solitude to reflect and meditate. The second brings him fruits and flowers, tending to his crops and revitalizing his garden. The third warms the man's heart, convincing him to step outside and embrace the world around him. And the fourth and final sister begs him to look at all that he has, and be thankful. In return for their kindness, the man grants the maidens incredible powers, so that they may continue to help others all over the world. They graciously accept, and promise to share their gifts with the people of Remnant 'til the end of days. Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall; the four maidens.

Y/N: Quite an interesting story.

Ozpin: What if I told you that there were four maidens existing in this world, that could wield such tremendous power, without dust?

Y/N: That's high up on the list of crazy things I heard but I'm listening.

Ozpin: The Fall Maiden is currently under the school in a vault. Her name is, Amber, and she is currently on life support.

Y/N: Where is this going?

Ozpin: As it stands she is on life support and her powers need to be transported to a new owner. The choice was Pyrrha but looking at the circumstances we believe Sarah is a good choice as well and that this will wake her from her coma.

Y/N: (gasp) Do you really believe this will wake her?!

Ozpin: Yes, but we need your permission looking at the condition she is in. If you accept your life will be spent protecting her and doing missions to fight back the forces of evil.

Y/N: Okay. I'm willing to do what must be done. He says in a serious tone.

The elevator doors open, and she sees Glynda Goodwitch and General James Ironwood step out.

Ironwood: (as he straightens his tie and Glynda fixes her glasses) Sorry we're late.

Y/N: You didn't miss much as I'm sure you already knew the information. So when do we start?

Ozpin: Now.

They all leave entering the vault. The elevator beeping as it heads down. Despite the situation Y/N was relatively calm.

Glynda: I'm sure you must have questions.

Y/N: Nope.

Qrow: (baffled by this statement) What do you mean by 'nope' kid?

Y/N: Ever since Sarah and I was transported here we have been seeing crazy things, and now there was a point where we just simply decided to accept it.

Glynda: Anyways, the Maidens have existed for thousands of years. But much like in nature, the seasons change. No two summers are alike. When a Maiden dies, her power leaves her body and seeks out a new host, ensuring that the seasons are never lost, and that no individual can hold on to that power forever.
