The Alpha and The Enforcer [TATE] (STILL EDITING)

Chapter 21

"We are extremely proud of you Ellie. We know that the past couple of years hasn't been easy for you but we are so proud that you were able to get through it and that you made it to this point," He added as he wrapped his arm around her waist and she leaned into his touch. I felt so moved by Uncle's speech that I felt a new wave of determination flow through my veins like the sir I breathe. "I couldn't have done it without you guys. I won't let you down," I said as I took a confident step forward. "You could never let us down," Aunt Martha replied.

Right now everyone is in the ballroom in the pack house and by everyone, I mean all the members of the pack. The Elders were the door that was at the center of the platform. We have two ballrooms. One for this specific occasion and the other for throwing balls or parties or dinner for the pack. I don't know how Alpha Brian got the Elders to do this on this specific day because there is a specific day that this is performed. On a full in February, the leaders of a pack are supposed to be chosen. I don't know how he did it but he did. He got them here and even though I can't see their faces right now I can feel their presence and their powerful aura.

Thirty minutes later the coronation was about to start and all the chosen leaders were to stand on the steps to the platform depending on their ranks It will start from me as I am the Enforcer. After me, there will be the Delta, Gamma, Beta, and finally the Alpha. I stood far away from Jacob as he was the last person on the line. But he was dressed in the traditional red robe for this event. It is required for the future Alpha and Beta to wear the traditional robes passed down by their ancestors. Alpha's wear red and the Beta wears blue.

Jacob had his head bowed and I can tell that his eyes were closed as he was still nervous I see as I can hear his shaky breath as he exhales. As if he felt someone looking at him he looked up and locked his gaze with mine. We held each other's gaze for what seemed like an eternity until a smile finally broke free onto his face then slowly it turned into a devilishly handsome smirk. Eventually, I smiled back at him and it doesn't surprise me anymore as I've been doing that a lot lately when it comes to him.

I turned my back to him and sigh and prayed to the moon goddess that everything will go well today before I made my way to the door. I followed Uncle Ted's instructions. I stood and walked with my head held high showing no fear or any signs of weakness. I am Ellie Hudson and I am the future Enforcer of the Midnight Moon pack. I said to myself as I went behind the door that will determine whether or not I will or will not be the Enforcer of this pack.

Third person P.O.V

Everyone stood in the ballroom silently watching their future Enforcer walk behind the doors that will determine if she will be one of the leaders of the pack or not. They all knew that Ellie would be their future Enforcer as she has trained her whole life for this moment and they had faith in her but that didn't stop the fear as she disappeared from their sight. It is said that the Elders are very strict when they are picking the leaders of the pack when they also pick the punishment for a pack if they stepped out of line.

The Elders are known for their strict ruling and their no-mercy policy. It seems as if it was forever when it was only 10 minutes. They saw Ellie walk back from behind the door and they felt the increase in power radiating from her and that's when they all knew that Ellie was the Enforcer of the Midnight Moon. She stood at the center of the platform and looked at everyone who had a smile on their faces. Her parents are the biggest ones of all. No one clapped as it is forbidden to interrupt the coronation. They can only clap after the Alpha is out. 

After an hour later in the ceremony, they were down to just the Alpha. Some questions that the Elders asked some of the leaders were a bit longer than the others. So far no one has lost their titles and right now it was just up to the Alpha to talk into the room. He took steps forward but stopped just a few feet away from the door.
