Chapter 13 : Day 18 - Interrogations

Sati moving her orbs rapidly sideways to his face, then leans into his ears whispering to which he hastily nods his face up and down for yes.

Kanwar Singh stands on his feet abruptly, What did you ask him?"

Sati stands turning towards Kanwar Singh requests, "Babosa he wish to be alone with me. Can you all leave?"

Kanwar Singh spits, "No way, what if...."

Sati is already at the knee's level resting her hands on Dadisa's hands on her thighs pressing, "He's tied so he won't be able to do any harm to me."

Dadisa looks straight in Sati's eyes and few moments later she rises from her chair announcing, "Kanwar let's leave, Rudra you stay with her."

Dadisa turns to Rati who's eyes glued on Sati's face. She requests, "Rati will you help me to the breakfast table." Rati's trance is broken when Dadisa pleads. Rati replies in a broken voice, "O....Ohhh...Okay."

Rati holds Dadisa's left elbow with both her hands exiting the room followed by Kanwar Singh and Joshi.

Dadisa and Rati along with Kanwar Singh walk towards the breakfast kept on the table. They sit along with Padmini who's waiting for their arrival. Padmini curiously, "Did you get something out of him?"

Kanwar Singh breathes, "Not yet. But he denied coming here to harm Sati."

Padmini astonishingly, "What.... he sai..."

Kanwar Singh helps himself to serve kofta in his plate, "He nodded Padminiji only when Sati questioned him. I mean how dare he try to kill Sati and escape and only answer her. I can guess he wanted to be caught."

Dadisa holds spoon of kheer  fidgeting, "But Joshi said he was trying to run away." She pauses then in a heavy voice, "How would I be able to face Baldev if something happened to Sati?"

Kanwar lifting his head from his plate, "Maasa do not worry I will double the security around Sati and catch the perpetrators."

Dadisa releases the spoon, "Hurry up. Rati dear." Rati hmmms facing Dadisa who's sitting beside Dadisa.

Dadisa obliges, "Are you finished with your breakfast?" Rati nods yes, "So will you accompany me to my room."

Rati pushes the chair back walking with Dadisa outside the court towards the stairs.

Padminiji eyes Rati and Dadisa leaving the room. As the door closes she faces Kanwar Singh, "This shouldn't have happened you know. If anyone can enter this Bhairavgad then...... " she pauses then breathes, ".....we have waited for years please don't make me loose hope now Kanwar Ji."

Kanwar Singh wipes his hands gulping down the water from glass. Placing his hand on Padmini's hand which is on her thigh, "Padminiji don't say this. I have been struggling to be strong just because of your hope on me. Trust me I will make sure Sati is married off so everything will be ours and also we can find the whereabouts of our son."

Padmini bites her cheeks inside with tears rolling from her eyes. Kanwar Singh calls, "Joshi."

Joshi walks in standing between them, "Hukum."

Kanwar Singh pulls his hands from Padmini's thighs, "Tighten the security around Sati. You investigate personally how this man made his way in Bhairavgad."

Joshi bows leaving them. Padmini walks to the right side stairs of the court retiring to her room while Kanwar Singh sits on the sofa of main sitting area looking through the glass viewing the court.

Rati helps Dadisa to walk the stairs to her room when they took a stop on the first level terrace sitting on the sofa and chairs.
