Plus One (Code Lyoko: Odd)

Chapter 4: Log Book

"Nice work." Amy said as she and Yumi shared a high five.

The two started running through the school before being breifly stopped by a teacher.

"Yumi. Amelia. What are you doing there?" He asked them. 

"Nothing, Sir. Yumi was feeling ill, bit she's okay now." Amy replied, before the two started running again.

It was after class when Amy got a call from Jeremy.

"Amy, we need you to come straight to the Factory after class. Xana's at it again." Jeremy informed her.

"Got it. I'm on my way." Amy told him before hanging up and running off to the Factory.

She met up with Yumi along the way and Jeremy sent them both to the Scanners almost immediately after they arrived.

Soon enough, both Yumi and Amy had been virtualised and landed on Lyoko.

"Amy! Yumi!"

The two turned to see Aelita running towards them. They met her halfway and she began leading them to where the pulsations were strongest.

They found the tower, but there were no monsters in sight.

"No, wait. This is too easy." Yumi said as she stopped Aelita from walking forward.

"An activated tower with no monsters around? This has to be some sort of trap." Amy agreed as she and Yumi both unsheethed their weapons.

Suddenly, the wind picked up behind them and they turned to see a sand tornado form as they began to run from it.

"Jeremy, we've got a problem here." Yumi told him.

"Make that two. There's a monster behind you." Jeremy informed.

The three of them ran as fast as they could, but the sandstorm eventually caught up to them and they shielded their eyes as they attempted to walk through it.

"Yumi, Amy, be careful of the ridge. If Aelita falls into the digital sea she'll be lost forever." Jeremy warned them. "Careful in front of you! It's a Megatank!"

Just then, the monster rolled into view and sent a blast at them that they just barely avoided.

"Get up. Hurry." Yumi said as Amy helped Aelita to her feet and they ran off again.

They abruptly stopped running as a ridge appeared in front of them and the ground cracked beneath them as the plateau they were standing on broke off from the others.

"Amy was right. Xana set a trap for us." Yumi said. 

Aelita then knelt to the ground in a praying position and a bridge formed between the plateau and they were stranded on and the plateau they needed to be on.

"Good work, Aelita." Jeremy complimented the girl as Yumi, Amy and Aelita ran across the bridge.

They were getting close to the tower when Yumi was struck by the Megatank. Before she even had a chance to get up she was struck again and devirtualised as Amy pushed Aelita out of the way of the shot and ended up getting struck herself.

"Hide, you two! And don't move until Odd is there with you, understand?" Jeremy said, worried for Aelita's safety.

"Come on." Amy said as she took Aelita's hand and ran with her.

"Aelita! Amy!"

They heard Odd calling out to them and started running in his direction.

"Welcome to our world!" Aelita called out from where she stood. "Hey, Odd! Odd!"

Suddenly, the ground began to crack and Aelita would've fallen had Odd and Amy not grabbed her hands and pulled her to safety.

"Okay. Let's go to work, Aelita." Odd said.

"Thank you." Aelita thanked the two for saving her.

The three continued to run and Jeremy warned them of a ridge.

"I have an idea. Follow me." Odd said as he took both girls by the hand.

They ran in front of the monster and straight towards the ridge. Amy seemed to catch on to what Odd was doing as she wrapped an arm around Aelita who seemed to get the message and did the same to her.

"Odd, you're out of your mind!" Aelita said as she also seemed to catch on to at least part of the plan.

Odd then released Aelita's hand as Amy tightened her hold on the girl and he swung them around for a bit before throwing them both to the other side of the ridge, quickly jumping after them himself as the monster plummeted down the crack to its demise.

"Hurry up now, Aelita." Jeremy said as she ran towards the tower and entered.

She did her thing, and soon enough the tower was deactivated as time reset.

"You got it?" Amy asked as Yumi exited the girls' bathroom.

"Yep." Yumi said as she showed her the diary.

"Good. Well, I'll leave you to it then. Wouldn't want to feel like a third wheel." Amy said.

"Hey." Yumi called after her and Amy chuckled in amusement as she walked off.

"What's so funny?" Odd asked as she met up with him.

"Nothing at all." Amy replied and the two headed off to class.
