"You! You're the one that took the Reed girl!" She shouted, before launching her wooden stick into my leg. "You bastard wolf! She was my best customer!"
She didn't stop, each hit being delivered with as much force as she could muster, "And my shop! It was you wolves that sent that bomb flying into town! You almost killed me, but you certainly killed my shop! What, did you think a bomb would kill me? No, I was already out of the shop and the area when that bloody thing hit! I'm still alive you hear me! You can try and kill me-"
"Stop hitting me you madwoman! I'm sorry but I have no idea who you are!" I protested, covering my face with my arm and her assaults seemed to be getting higher and higher on my body.
I could take her out in a second, this woman seemed to be in her late 50's early 60's, but even if she was in her twenty's, all it would take would be a flick of my hand and she would be lying on the floor. But I prefer not to be the cause of an elderly's death. So I let her continue bashing me.
It didn't hurt my skin, but it certainly hurt my pride.
Finally, the hitting stopped. Yet the lady still looked indescribably mad. "You'll have it in for you boy," She warned, "You free the Reed girl from your castle and you bring her right back here, or else you'll have hell to pay. Humans don't belong on your side, especially a girl like her. Nor do wolves belong on our side. Bugger off back to your castle King. But make sure you let that girl come back home."
I stood up straight, cracking my neck and growled, "Elora, My mate, won't be going anywhere lady. I suggest you go back home before we have a problem."
"I'm not scared of you," She sneered, "Nor do I care that she is your mate. But you're not worth my time, you'll regret not letting her come home."
My ears pricked up at her warning, "What do you mean?"
She grinned maliciously, "You'll see. But for now, I suppose that's for me to know and you to find out."
Those were her last words before she turned around and started hobbling back in whatever direction she had come from, slowly fading out of my view. I let out a sigh and ran a hand through my hair, I felt uneasy, her words unnerving.
But I had a job to complete, so I cast aside her words and kept walking.

I had left the main part of the area that was filled with shops - if you could even call them that - and had entered the main residential area. I could barely call these 'houses' homes at all. Most had large holes in the walls and I had even seen two without roofs. Each house I pass caused my blood to boil just a little bit more, why my mate had been subjected to living like this caused anger to ripple through me.
Finally, I reached the house that matched the address on the paper. It was a tiny, broken-down house that didn't seem nearly big enough to house three adults. The grass outside was thick and overgrown, yet still sporting a brown colour.
I took a breath and walked up to the front door, knocking my fist against it and waiting for an answer. I wasn't sure if Elijah and Isaiah were home at the moment, but considering the fact that I was sending them enough money that they didn't need to work ever again, I had some hope.
I nervously tapped my foot against the mouldy piece of would they had acting as a step. I could hear shuffling from inside, calming the nervous feeling that had been taking over me since I left the castle this morning.
The door flew open, revealing a very disgruntled, tired, underdressed twin. He yawned, but the moment he realised who exactly was standing at his door, his eyes narrowed, suddenly fully awake.
