"What do you want?" He asked coldly,
I rubbed the back of my neck, "I need to talk to you two, I was wondering if I could come in?"
His lips curled upwards, "Of course, brother, ELIJAH, THE WOLF IS HERE, HE WANTS TO TALK!"
Isaiah led me inside, neither of us hearing a reply from Elijah. The house suddenly became even smaller and cramped. As soon as we walked in, I could see Elijah sitting at the table considering the fact that the area was completely open. Isaiah sat over next to his brother and I opted to sit at the end of the table.
"So. It's been over a month since you took our sister from us. Has she been as welcoming to the idea you and her as you expected? Or has she refused to come near you?" Isaiah asked, leaning back cooly in his chair.
"The latter," I muttered, slightly embarrassed. "That's what I came to talk-"
"So, you take away our little sister, you ban us from seeing her until further notice and now you're here, asking for the secrets to her heart since your not coping with the fact that everything about your kind repulses her and everything about you frightens her." Elijah interpreted with a raised eyebrow,
"Well yes-"
"And you expect us just to tell you? After all of that, you think we'll just hand over the information like it's nothing?" Isaiah asked in almost mock disbelief, "Well isn't that interesting."
"You're both making this so much harder then it needs to be," I admitted, "What do you want. I'm already sending you money every week, you turned down my offer for a new house for you to reside in, what on earth could you want?"
Elijah rolled his eyes, "Stupid wolf. We just want to see Elora. She's the only family we have. You don't get where we are coming from, but imagine if your little sister had been taken, or your own daughter and you had been told that you could see her, that you would be allowed to visit. But only when she's adjusted, only when she's used to being kidnapped."
Our situations are very different. If my little sister or my own pup had been taken, well, they wouldn't have been, simple as that. And if they had, she would have been returned to me within days after I had ripped their kidnapper to shreds.
"Think of it this way. What if we took Elora back, you knew that we had her here but you couldn't see her, not yet. If you can't picture it any other way, then think of it like that and then tell us that we're being difficult." Isaiah protested, the desperation and begging evident in his voice.
That was all it took, that little scenario changed my perspective almost immediately.
"Give us a date, an event, just somewhere that we can see her if only for a few hours, to make sure that she's ok. And then we can wait until she has adjusted, just give us this Maddox."
"A ball," I bit out, my voice raspy, "A ball at my parent's estate. It will be a huge public event to announce Elora as my queen officially. Alpha's and their Beta's, Gamma's and Delta's will be coming in from all over the northern continent, perhaps even the Royal family from the southern continent. It may be overwhelming for her, you can come. We can have it as a surprise, it would be sometime in the next couple of weeks. You can come to that."
They looked at each other and exchanged a glance before turning back to me, "Sure. That works. What do you want to know?"
I paused slightly embarrased, "What does she like?" They raised an eyebrow, "She wants to do our relationship like a human would, which is the complete opposite to how a regular wolf would do it. I found somewhere that taking her on the date for the purpose of getting to know each other would be a good place to start. Except I have no idea how to go about it, your her brothers, I thought you might have an idea."
