Soon Sherlock came grinning through the door and you glared at him, shaking your head.
"Molly will meet you back at the forensics lab." He chided, ready to leave.
"Sherlock, I saw what you were doing in there! You're messing with that poor girl's emotions!" You looked at him, perhaps disappointment or anger on your face?
"I have no idea what you're talking about." He simply stated and you rolled your eyes at him. Of course he didn't understand feelings were starting to build up inside you, making you relive your past- but this time, it could get to you.
"Yes, you do." You looked up at him, a frown appearing on your face as you looked up at him. He studied your look and his face softened. He clearly understood something in your features, but he didn't bring it up.
"Well, you should go meet with Detective Dimmock. Meet back at the flat when you're done." He spoke, before walking away. You watched him walk down the hall and you sighed, raking your hands through your hair. You were glad he hadn't said anything, you really didn't want to talk to him about your feelings.
Once Sherlock disappeared down the hall, you made your way to meet with Dimmock and headed towards the forensic lab, ready to prove your point.
Molly was waiting in the lab when you arrived, when she saw you enter the room, she approached one of the body bags about to zip it open.
"We're only interested in the feet." You told her, standing near the end of the body bag. You were ready to show Dimmock you'd been right all along.
"The feet?" Molly questioned scrunching up her nose at you.
"The feet please, Molly." You confirmed and she zipped the bag back up, moving down to the feet. She unzipped the bag up to the ankles and it revealed the mark of Tong on the bottom of Lukis' foot.
"Brilliant, now Van Coon?" You asked and Molly nodded, unzipping Van Coon's bag. Again, there was a tattoo on the bottom of his foot. The same exact one, in the same exact spot. The mark of Tong.
Dimmock looked surprised, but defeated. You looked to him with wide, mocking eyes. "Hmmm, now either both of these men happened to visit the same Chinese tattoo parlor, or I'm telling the truth."
Dimmock sighed looking up at you. "What do you want?" You thought for a second before looking up at him.
"I want full access to all of Van Coon and Lukis' books." You stated, crossing your arms properly behind your back with a smug smile.
"Their books?" Dimmock asked, looking a bit confused. You nodded, crossing the room towards him.
"Yes, can you have them delivered to 221B Baker Street, then?" Dimmock looked taken aback before he nodded. "Perfect, thanks." You smiled as he walked out then your grin faded as you turned back to Molly. She stood with her hands clasped in front of her, a sweet smile on her face.
"About Sherlock." You frowned as you took quick steps towards her. You felt sorry for her. Wow, you felt sorry for her. You didn't like that feeling too much.
"What about Sherlock?" She asked, picking up her clipboard. She scribbled something on it then held it tightly to her chest, watching you with observant eyes.
"You like him, I can tell. You'd do almost anything for him. But I see the way he treats you." You found yourself saying without thinking. You were a bit annoyed with yourself for even deciding to speak to Molly about it. You didn't like this part of having emotions. You couldn't even control yourself at this point, just saying things you didn't even realize you actually felt.
"What do you mean?" She asked quietly, rocking back and forth on her feet nervously. Based on her actions, you were on the right path.
"Look, I know we don't know each other and you might not care what I have to say, but Sherlock is a careless person. I've seen it myself, and I'm honestly the same way as he is. I could go into my sob story but I have the slightest feeling you don't care about my life. But just know that Sherlock isn't the one for you, he's not the type to fall in love and I just..." You sighed, frowning at her. "I just don't think he's worth a heartbreak over. Because he will break your heart, Molly. He will." You whispered the last part, rubbing your arm self consciously. When you felt yourself doing it, you stopped. You cleared your throat, putting your poker face back on.
Molly stared at you for a long time before she smiled. And you raised your eyebrows in surprise. You didn't really expect that reaction. "I already know that, Y/n. But thank you for caring, really. And just so you know Sherlock talks about you a lot when he's here at the lab. He thinks you're brilliant. Even gets annoyed sometimes when you're not there to give him input. I just thought you ought to know before you judge him as heartless, he may act like it, but deep down, he's really not, even if he does call himself a 'sociopath'. He's good at holding his facade."
You blinked at her before you nodded. You liked her, she was smart. She may let her heart rule her actions, but she was sweet and seemed like she'd make a good acquaintance.
"Thanks for letting me know... hey cya around." You smiled at her before you walked from the building heading back towards 221B, only one thought on your mind... Sherlock.
