Glenn's face flushed a deep red as he felt his face burn up.

"Who's dating who?"

Jenny froze as she recognized the voice. She turned her attention away from her brother to look at the direction where the voice came from, hoping that her ears were playing tricks on her and that it wasn't who she thought it was.

Luck wasn't on her side because there stood the only person who could make an already completed situation more complicated.

Daemon Matthews.

He had just walked into the dining room, wearing a navy blue shirt that hugged his toned body perfectly and a pair of black jeans. On his face was amusement and curiosity at what he had walked into.

When his eyes met Jenny's, he smirked as he asked her, "Did you get a boyfriend without telling me, Archer?" His voice was whimsical and his eyes were playful as if he had done something he shouldn't have and that only he and Jenny knew what it was.

Jenny frowned at him before shooting him a dark look. She didn't like how he was acting towards her, especially in a room filled with people that knew them very well. Everyone knew how little Daemon and Jenny interacted and the fact that he was being overly friendly and jestful with her would ring some bells which would in turn be followed by questions.

"No, I haven't," she snapped back at him, wishing that it would remove the smirk from his face. She didn't like how overly familiar he was being and how he was acting towards her at her expense. "Not that that's any of your business!" she added for good measure.

Daemon and Jenny continued to stare at one another, the smirk still hadn't fainted from the former's face whilst Jenny tried to act like nothing was different between them.

Someone cleared their throat after what felt like too long, breaking their stare off.

"You finally came," Jesse said as he walked over and patted Daemon's back, before directing him towards the empty seat beside Jenny.

Jenny tried not to act too awkward or tense as Daemon took the seat next to her. Her twin would notice instantly and would call her out on it, which was the last thing she needed.

She cast a look between her twin and Daemon and wondered since when had they been all buddy buddy enough for Jesse to invite him to movies and even dinner.

If anyone had suggested months ago that Jesse Archer and Daemon Matthews would be friendly towards each other, Jenny would've passed out from laughter at how ridiculous the suggestion was.

Jesse smiled as he went back to his own seat. "Like I always say, better late than never."

"You  never say that," both Jake and Santana said in unison.

"Well, I'm saying that from now," Jesse said as he shrugged. "Help yourself man," he pushed the bowl of lasagna towards Daemon. "It's safe, trust me. My sister only got the food out of the oven, otherwise my mom cooked everything so at least you won't get food poisoning."

"Jesse!" Jenny snapped at her twin, even though she had to admit that her cooking skills could be categorized as a crime against humanity.

Daemon looked over at Jenny and smiled amusingly at her. "Don't mind if I do," he said before he helped himself to a big serving.

"Save some for everyone else, you pig," Santana said, even though the smile on her face spoke of how fond she was of her best friend.

"Glenn, son, are you okay?" Mr Archer's voice broke the attention that everyone had been giving Daemon.
