Ash and I had been guarding the door and doing our very best to ignore her howls of anguish or her whimpers of sorrow and pain. It was a small relief when the pain from her link finally cut off in what I guessed was exhaustion. Then sure enough after a few more whimpers and another pain filled howl she cut off into silence much like she'd done earlier in the day. "About time she pass out, I wasn't sure how much more of her crying I could take, maybe the drugs finally kicked in." Tucker whispered out as he sank to the floor in the hallway, his back to the wall as he sighed out his frustration.

We all wanted to comfort Sid but we had also seen the results of her sinking her teeth into us, Beck wasn't fazed but Simon was a bit shaken, she'd really been trying to kill him . "How are the Doc and Beck doing?" Ash quizzed softly. "They're okay mostly, the wounds weren't too bad, but they can't shift for the next day or two until the wounds have healed up." Tucker huffed. I nodded back it was never a good idea to shift to the wolf when the weaker human form was injured, it could tear the wounds even more. "Do you think she's okay, what if Fletch was right?" Tucker whimpered softly.

"Relax you're just saying things like that because her links shut off, it's natural to get a bit antsy when you're not connected to your alpha." Daniel stated as he joined our little pity party. "I kind of get what he's saying though, something just doesn't feel right about this." I murmured. "Yeah well just be thankful you weren't the one trying to calm down the crazy mutt downstairs, Spartan started going crazy and none of us could calm him down so we shoved him outside to cool off his crazy." Daniel huffed and more uneasy floated through me. "How long ago was that, him going crazy?" I kept my tone calm as I balled my fists at my side, something wasn't right.

"About twenty or thirty minutes ago, why?" He frowned and my blood turned cold in sheer panic, that was when Sidney's link had cut off from us. I couldn't risk not knowing as I flung the door open so fast that the others couldn't even get out their warning objections. Her scent was here but the room was empty, my stomach sank even further as I realized the window was wide open and neither Sid or the mutts were anywhere to be seen.

My alarm rang out through the pack link and the others sensing our distress rushed upstairs thinking we were in trouble. "What's going on!?" Bowen roared out as he saw me standing in the open doorway, I met his gaze in horror. "Fletch you were right, she's gone and I don't think she's coming back." Tucker whispered it out but we all heard him, if she wasn't coming back then we had to go get her. We were off immediately, our only focus to find and protect Sidney, not on the dangers around us, so it wasn't all that surprising that we ran right into an ambush.

                                               Sidney (wolf)

The scent of rogues was strong in the forest just outside the perimeter of the house, there were so many scents that my fur stood uneasy on my back. I was on high alert as I picked up the pace, running at the speed that the pups could keep up with. I could smell the danger around us, but the trails were not heading for me, they had a clear converging destination. They were heading for where my scent was no doubt the strongest, they were heading for the house full of males that did not know of the dangers awaiting them. The rogues thought I was at the house and they would kill to reach me, the young pack were not the wisest fighters and were down two members because of me.
